He blocked me on Twitter for calling him a turd sandwich. I was doin Gods work. This guy is the worst in the business.
I feel as though we need to use one of our stud D-Lineman as bait for a QB in a year or two. Luck may absolutely want out of Indy and a stud D-lineman would be pretty attractive as trade bait if the Colts realize at some point they can't resign him.
This turd has been championing the return of Sheldon Richardson as if the Jets would be getting back some great gamechanging defensive player. 2 1/2 sacks the past two seasons (COMBINED), Seattle gave up a second round pick AND Kearse they're still gonna let him walk? That's not a red flag? Meanwhile another Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennet a true warrior could hit the open market I've heard nothing about him coming here. I've heard about him joining the Patriots. New England gets Michael Bennet, the Jets get Sheldon Richardson no frickin' wonder why we are where we are right now
Michael Bennett is an overrated football player. I don't care if he goes to New England, fuck him. I am also confused as to why you think Seattle letting Richardson go in FA is a red flag but not the same thing if/when they let Bennett do the same thing? The facts are that Seattle has no cap room. They can't resign either guy because they are broke. It's not a red flag for either player. When they acquired Richardson they did so knowing it was just for this season. They knew they weren't gonna be able to keep Kearse on the books anyway and they were willing to give up a 2nd round pick for 1 year of Richardson because, unlike our Jets, they were actually trying to win football games in 2017. They thought an extra player of Richardson's caliber on the inside of that defense could be enough to make a run. Manish sucks, Idk what he is writing, but I'm all for Richardson coming back. He can be a d-bag but at least he busts his ass on the football field unlike Wilkerson. Richardson should've been the guy Macc signed and Wilkerson the one traded back in 2015
why is this guy still employed ? I can listen to Benigno go off on him over and over it never gets old
Bennet has been a key player on one of the greatest defenses of all time. He's productive and he brings loads of big game experience. If New England gets him it's just the rich getting richer. Back-to-back 14-2 seasons, back-to-back Super Bowl appearances they could add Bennet this offseason almost unf'nbelievable. I don't know why Bennet could be let go I don't follow the Seahawks that closely. I'll take a guess say it has to do with his contract. Who in their right mind trades a second round pick & a solid player for a young player for only one year? If Seattle lets Richardson hit the open market it's because they know he's not worth the big money and don't wanna compound a effed up trade with a terrible new contract. 2 1/2 sacks the past two seasons (COMBINED) this guy is nothing more than a rotational d-lineman at this point a role player NOT a big money star!!!! The possible return of Richardson now Cousins the hits just keep on comin'. CAN WE GET SOME GOOD NEWS AROUND HERE?!!!
If the Jets cut Wilkerson, bring back Richardson then sign Cousins I'll start to believe Mehta is the real GM over at Florham Park. I'm half joking but still you get the point.
Mehta has been extremely friendly of late towards this current regime of Christopher Johnson, Mike Maccagnan, and Todd Bowles...It's seems like he's getting hooked up with sources for writing such kind articles of late. Somebody far removed from Mac gives him the info, so Mac can maintain plausible deniability. Manish is basically Mac's mouthpiece now. M&M aka Manish & Mike.
He was right about unseen issues being the root of the Jets unwillingness to sign Wilkerson long term. Rex fed the culture that produced Revis and Wilkerson. We're finally getting past that but the entitled vets thing needs to be worked against constantly or it keeps popping up. That's why coaches like Parcells, Belichik and Coughlin win Super Bowls. They have no entitled players on the roster for long unless the guy is both a team leader and an amazing talent. Even then all 3 of those guys were willing to cut a guy whose production had dropped or who started acting out in other ways. For Belichik even requesting a second contract at market rates is enough to send a guy packing.
Some of us may have to do without Mehta, or at least with less of him. The Daily News is apparently going to a paywall system. They're starting to push online subscriptions, so it looks like freeloaders (like me) will get only 10 free articles a month.
