I SHOULD be getting the game in 3 days from a friend that works at a mom and pop owned store up in Colorado so I will give some retail version impressions if I do get it from him.
That's why I didn't buy All-Pro Football, and that's why I always buy Madden. Those videos really brought me back. ESPN 2K5 was an awesome game. I was always a 2K guy over Madden. I don't care so much anymore, but I loved ESPN 2K5.
Yo Man It's Brutal..That pre snap adjustment is a big part of my game (especially on defence) I heard they are going to go back to the old way but only around week 2
They put up a blog explaining why they thought it was best to move everything to the d-pad. a very high number of people were accidentally getting stuck somewhere in the menu's especially if they accidentally pressed A or X before the play. I personally don't mind it even though it is taking some getting used to. The old way was second nature to me but i'm sure that this way will be just as easy after a month.
That used to happen to me in Madden 09, I have no idea what buttons I would accidentally press on my buddy's xbox but I would send the DT out in man coverage on the #1 WR. I never had that problem in Madden 10 tho
The strategy pad is slow and cumbersome. I've gotten more comfortable with it but I'm glad EA is going to patch in the old system. I prefer using old fashioned buttons rather than having to use the dpad on the 360.
Ive got the full game, since I have a modded box. It's pretty legit, I don't like using the dpad, so good to see they'll be patching it.
