I just checked this out, looks really cool.

Just if anyone is curious there is apparently a bald eagle nest in Brick, NJ not far from the Toms River border. I've had a few friends see one flying around and it's quite visible.

There are two adults, the female has been nesting here for 12 years but her mate died 2 years ago and now has a new mate. They mate for life.

Both of them were on the nest a few hours ago but just for a few minutes. I can't tell whether this is the male or female now but I believe the male is there a lot.

There was one chick that was suspected of being sick about a week ago, wasn't being fed or being sat on by the adult and I thought it was a goner. But the adult started feeding it again and sitting on it so it should be fine.

There is a nest down the street from my old house in Teaneck. It's in Overpeck Park on tributary to the the Hackensack River and the Eagles are regularly seen flying down towards the Meadowlands. My buddy works in Secaucus and he sees them all the time.

I've read that from the comments on bottom. It's interesting. I'm becoming invested because I'm checking multiple times daily haha.

Is the new mate younger or older than her?

How long did she wait before she invited another bird into the nest?

    Did other Eagles talk?

I hope it works out for her. She seems nice.

    I heard he's a drinker though.

I think he's younger. I read he's really not experienced in raising eaglets.

If he can stay away from the booze, he'll make a god dad?

    He's a very talon-ted young man.

The two adults were just in the nest. Tried to get a screen shot but the other adult dropped off a fish and left.

    Saw that too.

One adult came back to the nest with a half eaten fish. I'm assuming that's the dad.

The other adult then took off. I'm assuming that's the mom.

Now the dad is watching the kids. He obviously has no idea what he's doing. He's just like eating and looking at the kids like WTF?

    Holy crap!

One of the chicks just launched a shit-projectile right out of the nest!

    Outstanding.

Dad's now feeding the kids. And chowing himself.

He totally has that "Don't tell Mom" look on his face.

    I love this guy.
