    I just read the same thing...

    Lions | McCown signed to two-year contract

    Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Detroit Lions have signed free agent QB Josh McCown (Cardinals) to a two-year contract worth $6 million. The deal will pay him $4 million in 2006 between his signing bonus and base salary.

    I'm surprised because he has stated he wants to start, which may prove difficult with the recent Kitna signing....

    so now they've got 5 backup qb's on their roster? harrington, king, kitna, mckown, orlovsky...yikes
