There I was scrolling through Twitter looking to see who the pick could be. And much to my shock my heart sank like a rock when I saw who could be a lock. Several sources claiming the jets love lamar and moved up to secure they can get him. I believe I speak for us all “clearly the Jets must know something we don’t”

    Fuck this

That is silly. You don't trade up 3 spots to take Lamar Jackson. There is no chance he goes at number 3. If you want Jackson you use your second or 3rd round pick on him.

There seems to be a lot of disinformation being put out there. Are the Jets doing it to keep their intentions disguised or bored beat writers looking for page hits?

I don,t see it happening, but if it does, the Jets get an outstanding playmaker. Lamar has the arm, the feet, and the quickest release of any player in the draft. He needs work on his stance and decision making, but he has the best raw tools.

I wouldn't be mad with Lamar but not at 3..We could have stayed at 6 or even traded back for him. I don't think we take him where we are today. Its Mayfield or Rosen.

And he would have been there at 6 and we wasted 3 2nd rounders.

we need a smokescreen thread. no tweets of proof or anything.

He's not a 2nd or 3rd round pick, he's actually a first and the majority of mocks have him going 15 to the Cardinals. If they wanted Jackson, they didn't need to trade up and take him.

i cannot imagine a scenario where we felt the need to trade up for lamar jackson. but it's the Jets. so who knows.

While it is certainly possible a QB with a 2nd or 3rd day grade Like Jackson gets taken in round one it is less likely this year with so many QBs available in FA and in the draft. While I doubt he slips to round 3 I also doubt anyone overreaches for him in round one as there is so much depth to make such a reach quite costly.

I love lamaar as a prospect but he isn't worth a top 3 pick. we could have traded back and got him. There are only 2 Qbs worth taking top 5 and that's darnold and rosen. baker, lamaar, and allen are more late 1st round prospects

Lamar will be drafted in the first round. Cardinals or Buffalo will take him.

I don't think Buffalo will draft an athletic QB after Taylor. They likely want a more traditional QB. Jackson does not seem to suit what Arizona wants either. Hopefully he will find a team in round 2. There are not many options left and his athletic non traditional style limits the number of teams that would be interested.

Pitt, No, and NE could all take him as well. I can't see Jackson slipping out of the 1st round at all

I think your underestimating his ability as a passer. He needs work but has tremendous ability and his freak athleticism is a bonus.

i never understand why "dual threat" QBs are taken as a negative. especially with sucess of people like vick, moon, mcnair, mcnabb, somewhat marriota, somewhat smith, and of course cam who won an MVP.

just the threat of jackson alone gives the offense 1 man up over the defense because you pretty much have to spy him

Arians doesn't even coach the Cardinals anymore. The HC is from Carolina, guess who he had to game-plan against every practice? Cam Newton.

I don't see an argument for him dropping to round 2 at all on your end. Bills, Cardinals, DOLPHINS, Steelers, Patriots all need QBs.

Exactly. And with his arm strength and release I think he is going to surprise alot of people.

he's got better legs and arm then watson, and watson was drafted 12th overall and looks the bets of that class so far
