We aren't going to be in a position to draft a QB high and given their play all season, they are an over hyped bunch - which I admit I bought into. Rosen & Darnold are a class above but both have their own issues that can ruin them. At this point, it would cost the jets a boat load to move and I don't think Maccagnan is going to bite on that. If Cousins somehow shakes free, Jets will surely be one of the major players in the Cousins sweepstakes. The contract can be front loaded as well because of how much cap space we will have.
One thing this better-than-expected season has done is make the team a lot more attractive to free agents like Cousins - the Jets can legitimately argue that they are a team on the way up, and not that far away. An added bonus is that it looks like the Giants will be in full rebuild mode with no immediate answer at QB, making the Jets the preferred NYC location for free agents (as shocking as that would seem!).
