Bills making the right call by not immediately starting Allen. I think he will be the 2nd best QB this draft, after Darnold, but he's not ready. Starting him too soon would be a mistake. Mayfield and Allen have an uphill battle, as those organizations are really clueless and in perpetual organizational turnover. Let's hope that's not the case with the Jets and Darnold. I'm probably in the minority, but I'd rather McCown have started the first 2-4 games.
I disagree with you here. Yes Bills made the playoffs last year in an extremely weak AFC but they were not a team on the rise. They were smart to tear it down and position themselves in the soon to come post Brady AFCE. I liked Allen but it was known he was not ready to start right out of the gate. Bills have a brutal first 4 weeks, it’s a smart decision to let Peterman take that pounding. Allen will probably take over after that and take his lumps and gain experience the rest of the year. It’s about next year and beyond for both Jets and Bills. Both teams believe they have their QB to build around and both teams will have cap room next offseason to help build the rest of team up.
Yes! I was right! Allen is the first of the QBs to play! In his first drive he throws a totally inaccurate pass and is then sacked.
That coach up in Buffalo isn't going to last the year. He has named Peterman the QB twice, the guy has played worse than Hackenberg, and then he starts the other QB the next week. Total joke.
He needs to accept his medicine, stick to one scrub and deal with it. I understand he doesn’t want to get Josh killed or destroy his confidence but he’s in a no win situation.
He did manage 9 wins last year and with the help of Andy Daulton got them into the playoffs for the first time in 17 years so I think he and their new GM will get a couple of years from ownership. The QB situation is a mess but what really screwed them was losing Eric Wood to retirement from injury and Richie Icognito who has mental issues of some sort. That made their O-line a total joke. They are starting a major rebuild. I won't be surprised if they start trading off some vets for picks. For example if the Bell holdout doesn't end in Pitt I could see the Steelers and Bills working out a deal for McCoy.
They are catching a break with Joey Bosa out. The way Allen holds onto the ball, if that D was full strength he may have been sacked like 15 times
Now thats a coach searching for answers..and possibly a job for next season. Not that this is his mess
The front office there should be gone as well. Traded a mediocre, but serviceable starter who could have been a functional stop gap qb, as well as letting 3/5 of their starting Oline leave with no replacements. They set themselves up to be terrible.
Back for more shit? Where is that pic of you sticking your head into the cow's rear? I am still waiting, son.
Jets loss sucks but New England losing and hopefully watching the vaGiants fall to 0-2 would be great
