Per Ian Rappaport - Jets are trading for R. Robinson. I will update this post when compensation is released Picked him up for a 5th round pick - do not know much about him so I can't comment
Hmmm.. Well he's only 22 and in his 2nd year so it's kind of like a draft pick... Has starting experience this year and last, but has apparently been very bad so far. Good size at 6-1. Hope it's not more than a 6th round pick. This might be bad news for Juston Burris
Hopefully this is bad new for Macgagnan, everybody else in the division made a deal so he felt he had to acquire another defensive player. At least it's only a 5th.
He was a 4th round pick last year, has had an issue with penalties so he should fit right in here. Plus he has an abdominal injury ...
We might have just done something. Rashard Robinson is a kid i liked ALOT coming out of LSU, has the measurables, 6'2 177 and most of all fits this system (press man) way better than he did in San Francisco. Was the # 1 CB at the start of the season before being demoted for penalties... i know ironic. But this is just the move to make and i think he can turn around his career here, he's just 22 years old. GREAT MOVE by Mac and co. And for a 2018 5th round pick for a guy that is still so young i think its a fair trade
Another failure from Mac, 5th round pick isn't trash in the NFL and Mac just decides to give it away for garbage
remember skrine is still out (concussion) and claiborne is banged up. and we cut williams (who just had a huge INT this week for houston) so really we have roberts and burris healthy? we are getting pretty thin at the position. grabbing another guy for depth isn't that bad. hopefully claiborne suits up
explain to me again why we traded Mcdougle who looked great in camp for a safety when they drafted 2 safeties ?
Expecting this current team to resurrect anybody career is a stretch. A huge stretch. Rodgers can't even coach up veterans he has actually made them play far worst.
Per PFF "Rashard Robinson has allowed a 44.7 catch % in his coverage this season, ranking 8th of 114 CB's. Also is most penalized CB, with 8 in 8 weeks"
Last couple 5th round picks from us include Dylan Donahue, Jordan Leggett, Brandon Shell, Jarvis Harrison, Jeremiah George, Oday Aboushi, Jeremy Kerley, and John Connor. Those are all of our precious extremely valuable 5th round picks since 2010, sorry GREAT MOVE by Mac. Other than Shell name one guy who deserved that selection
Isn't ASJ's career being resurrected? Claiborne was one of the better DBs this year before he got hurt.
It's more of what a 5th rounder can get in a trade, we got santonio Holmes for a 5th, eagles just got ajayi for a 4th. Brandon Marshall cost a 5th. We got a trash corner who the niners practically wanted to give away.
Just ahead of Clairborne and Skrine in second place with 6 penalties each. At least we're going to Finnish first in something.....
