I feel bad for Coaches hired .and fired (even though Bowles and Kacy deserve it)..and people out of work in general Lombardi used to say to people studying to be DRs Lawyers Teachers "you are too smart to be a football coach!"..and in that merrygoround of wins and losses, demotions and promotions I get it So now we have this dude who couldn't get the Bills a TD in a playoff game and a 29th ranking for the Offense..well I wish him luck to do better..really Get used to retread Coaches guys ..it all part of the NFL and the Jets is the place to go to for "help wanted". ...sadly ...no cream of the crop wants to come here
The sixth best rushing offense in the league which includes the RB with the fourth highest rushing yard total and it was a disaster?
Buffalo's running game wasn't half bad last year. Maybe Mac can stock the cupboards with talent like Bell, Barkley, or, better yet, a Hunt/Kamara type in the later rounds. With the right ingredients, it could be fun to watch.
Correct. Both the pass blocking and running game were bad yet we returned the same linemen, running backs and quarterback. Outside of the first Jets game, we could not run the ball the first half of the season. At the bye week, when the media was crushing McDermott over the drastic fall off from the year before, McDermott said "we need to be honest with ourselves" when it comes to the coaching. At the bye week they stopped Dennison's zone blocking and implemented more power schemes. Once we did that, the running game was above average. It still wasn't near what it was the year before and we returned the same players. Shady McCoy had the worst YPC of his career. Dennison's offense was god awful and he was fired.
fire morton for passing too much, hired a run game coordinator, probbaly going to draft a rookie QB. all signs point to a run heavy offense next year
maybe, maybe not. we have an offseason to improve. and RB and o-line are 2 positions that translate well as rookies
Actually nothing says any of this. From why Morton was fired through what the offense will be like next year.
Unless we make significant O/Line improvements, that will be a lot of 3 and outs. If we do improve the line, I'm all up for the running game. Control the clock and grind the other team down.
no - - Buffalo's running game was definitely bad last year. no push, no holes, no creativity. Where they rank statistically is flawed. they had Tyrod Taylor at QB racking up rushing yards when he fleed the pocket. Their actual "running game" sucked majorly, a big downgrade from 2016
I didn't say anyone said it, i said that's what it looks like to me. looks like we are gearing up for a run heavy offense we have an offseason to do so. money to spend and 3 picks in the 1st 2 rounds
I believe Denver ran a zone blocking scheme... IMO might be perfect for McGuire and Powell...Just pick a hole and go! Unfortunately you need good linemen ...lol
