Im tired of the excuses.Theyve had 4 years to find an edge rusher.They can no longer blame the prior regime but if one wants to include them & further expand the window of a franchise too stubborn or incompetent to find the most important piece to the scheme they insist upon running,be my guest.Utilizing draft picks doesnt excuse the problem as far as i concerned.If its too hard to find an edge rusher how bout moving away from the scheme that demands it?? Regardless of the circumstances the current edge situation is 100% theres.Ill assume Attachaou is the savior & hope he doesnt go down.But if he does we’re right back to what we were staring at over the weekend & the jets willl have no one to blame but themselves.
Sure he played against the Browns. Not much perhaps and no impact which is probably no great surprise given the short week. Hopefully after the mini-bye he will now be more up to speed with the D and show up.
He was someone I lived coming out of the draft that has not been able to stay healthy. He has the prototypical size off the edge with good bend and speed but not the ideal power to set the edge on running plays. If his hammy stays healthy he could be a steal but there is a reason he’s been an afterthought to this point.
More accurately, Jenkins and Maye shared one each with Fat Leo. Jerry seems to be our best pass rusher though. More pressure from him in limited time in the last two games. Also crushed Keenum and forced a fumble.
