I agree that releasing Pryor was a big mistake. With Quincy and Robbie both out, that is killer, especially when he catches a TD against us in 2 weeks.
What a total botch by Macc. He willingly made his rookie QB's job harder. I really hope details trickle out as to why he was cut, because it clearly wasn't about health if he's ready to play.
I think we can all guess. He was an asshole in college and on every team he played for in the NFL. Not sure why it would have been different here.
bar currently it is a 35yo garbage QB chucking the ball beside Allen will need more than Pryor to help him out at the Bills.
He's a redzone target. Every young QB could use one. We gave our only one to the Bills. Bold strategy.
He must have been inspired by the Bills performance last night and the great QB situation up there. Honestly though, a shame he didn't work out for us, we needed him.
Well, we released him when he was injured and in desperate need to promote WR's to the squad, it is what it is. Those are the facts. I won't go down the he must have been a cunt road as we do not know it. Still, he was no Randy Moss was he, so let's not go crying our eyes out at the sad loss of Pryor to the Bills.
It's not about how good he was. It's about him being a viable red zone target, and the ONLY one at that, for our rookie QB. Then you just take him away? It doesn't matter where he signed, it matters that you made it harder for your rookie QB to make plays.
He was fucking injured man and we needed to get shot of somebody, so we could then promote some live body to the squad, why is this so hard for you to understand or take in, who else would you have jettisoned out of the 53 to make space for Burnett and Rishard? Maybe Mac was trying to be clever and put him away for 2-3 weeks and then get him back when fit, we will only understand more in time, if he plays Sunday for the Bills then he won't have been as injured as we made out, if he plays and then goes out injured for another 3 weeks then the risk was fully justified. 3 weeks ago people were calling him a lazy useless cunt and now you act like he was the number 1 redzone threat of the team. Hopefully Bates will go and design some plays to put Herndon in that situation more in the coming games but I wouldn't bet on it tbh.
I think the Jets were pissed at him for milking injuries. It’s a valid concern but he’s not the only one so it kinda falls on deaf ears.
It's not hard for me to understand. If you backread, I've said it multiple times. What's mindblowing to me is that people think it's normal that when someone gets injured and will be out two weeks, the protocol is to just cut them and hope they don't sign elsewhere. Who has the most redzone TD catches? I'll wait... He wasn't a star receiver. No one ever said that so pretending like someone did is foolish. What he is, no matter how much you don't want to think he is, was a viable red zone target. That's all I've said. And that's factual. He and Sam connected two straight weeks and if Pryor finished a god damn route, he'd have had another TD grab. If you have a guy that can help your rookie QB, don't cut him. Thats. All. Im. Saying.
