If Teddy's healthy, there's no way that Hack is gonna be on the roster imo. That would mean the Jets were keeping 4 QBs. I don't see that happening. He'd have to really light it up and look good in TC and preseason, and even then, the Jets would probably try to trade him.
if teddy is healthy he will be cut. if he's not he will be our QB3. It shouldn't be surprising considering we invested a 2nd in him (right or wrong to do so) not very long ago.
Typical gutless Jest move. He's easily better than Hackenberg but the Jet won't release him because it's admitting that the blew the pick.
shasta, you need to get laid more. Petty & hackenberg are 3rd string QBs. I can't even tell you a single thing about who the Pats 3rd stringer is and I'm no great womanizer
He was replying to Hack being cut. He meant if Teddy's knee is healthy, Hack will be cut, not Teddy. If you read the quote above his reply, it would make sense.
You're a jet fan, so I don't expect you to be able to have a logical fact based football discussion. Just keep waving your pom poms.
I'm happy for Petty. I don't expect him to last there, but would love it if he did and became a solid starter for them
- Says Jet fans can't have logical discussions on a Jets forum - Response is unintelligent, comeback is pathetic. Smells like a Pats fan to me.
How is it smug? It's actually a very legitimate question to ask about this staff. 3rd QB's do matter, they end up playing in this league and to dismiss the obvious fact that a coaching staff would willingly part with a clearly more talented player, just to minimize the fact that they horribly blew an early 2nd round draft pick says a lot about that staff. Those are the Jets decision makers, and if that's where their mindset is, well I'd be very concerned.
Hope your trolling an opposing team's forum is making you feel better about your team's own shortcomings and failures.
How is it gutless ? Petty had a good chance and blew it with short passing inaccuracy, Hack will no doubt be out the door next, regardless of his 2nd round pick status but at this point it is easier keeping the unknown quantity rather than one who has already failed for sure. Edit I wouldn't have bothered replying if I knew he was a cheater fan.
Petty wasn't very good when he started. He's at best a good backup QB. McCown and Bridgewater are more than enough insurance at the position. Hack was overdrafted and is superfluous if Bridgewater is healthy. I doubt Petty is that much more talented than Hack, if he is at all.
