I'm happy with this. It gives us stability at the RT position. We now will have all 5 starters from 2006 returning for 2007. I thought he earned himself a 2nd year here.

Totally agree, i'd like to get a OG in Day 1 out of our 4 picks. Blalock, Grubbs, Beekman or Rameriz would be a nice eoption.

I too am also pleased. Doesn't mean we can't upgrade if something becomes available, but he played well enough last year to remain, and at the very least provide veteran leadership...

Good news- he wasn't horrible last year by any stretch- but we certainly need to upgrade at some point.

Great to have the guy back, that's one less thing to worry about now. I'm hoping he can cut down on the penalties though; it seemed like the majority of penalties from the line were from him (I may be wrong, but that's what I remember).

I agree. Smart move. I still think the Jets are going to make a pick for the O-line on Day 1 of the draft.

right now he is the best FA out there at RT. He played ok toward the end of the season and the familiarty on the O-line will only make us better at the start of the season. This also gives us the option to go after the best player available in the draft instead of reaching for someone on the line when someone else could be a better player. Also their will be cuts right before training camp and a good RT will be out there and we could get him if he is an upgrade.

You're wrong. He had very few penalties. The majority of the penalties came from Moore.

    Brandon Moore
    Anthony Clement

Just going to say the same thing. Clement had two penalties all year, compared to Moore's eight...

Clement was down right horrible at times, but I'm glad we at least have someone pencilled in as at the right tackle. We need to pick a right tackle on the first day of the draft.

Bleh, my bad. I guess I got them confused since they both make up the right side of the line. Fair enough then.

Yeah, I always feel more comfortable going into the draft knowing we don't HAVE to get a certain position. If there was a better option open at 25 than a RT, we know we can take it with clement here another season.
