I would be pleased with a rebuild also. We don't have the right coach in place for that. I also do not call a rebuild with McCown as your QB. I would have rather seen Petty and Hackenberg play all year. The entire NFL has seen what McCown cannot do and that is winning games. The Jets know that formula already.
Hang on, am i doing this right ? We were blatantly rebuilding, did you not see all the old geezers let go ? Yes we still had an old QB join and play, yes I would have loved to have seen Hack or Petty play and went 0-16 choose our new QB and kept our second round picks but a rebuild is small steps at a time, we got some youth in key positions last season and now we have a QB (hopefully) next draft we will address some other areas of need and sign some quality in free agency as we get towards rebuild completion. Now the whole world could see McCown for what he was but he had a career year after all said and done and won games and in reality we can consider ourselves lucky not to have been 8/8 on the season. Now you have tacked on Bowles lol lol now I see why you had it bolded for and it was just some lousy quoting that has some in the box and some as new post, well I am not changing my big writing for small now So now that I see you have answered underneath each line of my post, you think I am over reaching by thinking Darnald is the best QB in this draft, would it make you feel better if we got the 2nd best QB in the draft, you know as just up there you would prefer Petty or Hack to McCown, now we have someone probably capable of playing QB this season. There is pessimism and then some dark place where you reside and as for Geno and his 600 bucks it has certainly cost him a whole lot more in the end, the dumb shit.
the headline out of the Star Ledger is that Hack didn't even tell the Jets he was overhauling his throwing motion. WTF
"Bowles didn't know Hack was retooling his throwing motion" Translation: Bowles thinks Hack is an afterthought.
Yet somehow McCown, with a team predicted by many to be lucky to win 1 or 2 games won 5 out of 12.5 games and Petty won 0 out of 3.5 games. After winning 1 the year before. But playing a QB with no chance of winning is a rebuild while playing a QB that gives you a better chance of winning at least a few games with the same exact team is not a rebuild. Here's the thing, when most of your roster has been gutted and positions manned by inexperienced youngsters, you're in a rebuild. Regardless of one position.
boozer, at this point what you are arguing doesn't really matter. I thought they shoulda tanked differently so they could land Darnold. Well they landed Darnold anyway, so what does it matter who they started in 2017. Now, its clear there is a future cornerstone to build around. Rebuilding started the day after the draft, not before it. You got Darnold now its about the next 10 years with Darnold, not about 2018. If it helps Darnold's development to sit awhile behind McCown/Bridgewater, and I think it does, then play the vets until he's ready.
Maybe he forgot his old motion so we are putting Rosen in the hof now? A little early don’t you think?
My sentiments exactly. But you’re a bad Jet fan for rooting for them to lose. Why? So we could beat our chests for the next 8 years reliving those two awesome wins while a LB or RB or OT or TE or CB we might have taken in the second round is making plays for the Colts?
Devil's advocate: Hackenberg was attempting to underpromise and overdeliver (in his context). It would also be eye opening if he showed up to camp and was unexpectedly dropping dimes all over the field rather than hitting reporters on the sidelines.
It was definitely an overrated story. Just meant to illustrate a remarkable difference from one camp to the next (assuming that his offseason work pays off and he actually delivers).
I don't have any amateur schoolgirl shit vagina. I have a PUSSY! A hot steamy, TIGHT, love canal that's dripping wet.
