There isn't much in FA. Bell has to be top priority. I don't like Coleman, he's a speedster but he runs too upright. I think you'd be setting up Sam for failure if you bring him in as an "answer". Yeldon would be option B. He's only 25 and can pass catch and is a solid runner.

    My preference in order:

    - Bell
    - Draft an RB
    - Coleman or Duke Johnson via trade
    - Ingram

Yeldon would be a nice addition if the Jets were to draft a guy like Montgomery in the third round.......Montgomery, Yeldon , and McGwire would be a good young trio.

I like Yeldon as a player but I seem to remember him being nothing more than average running the ball with Jacksonville. Love his playmaking ability though, he's just not a reliable runner. I could also be thinking of someone completely different.

I am having a hard time feigning outrage at this development.

To be quite honest, I’d feel something but I’m consumed with apathy.

I will. It was one of the best TD celebrations of all time. Forget the PC people.

sure why not if the money is right. Both are 3 down backs, have them catch passes out of the back-field.

I guess I should value this opinionated post.

I don't dislike Montgomery, I think he'd be a solid target in the mid rounds, but I don't know if he's an every down guy in the NFL. Bell should be priorites 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.... but if we don't end up with him then I wouldn't mind a Coleman/Montgomery pairing. Neither are power runners, but Montgomery can at least absorb some contact and bounce off defenders.

Some of the best RBs in the league were drafted in the middle rounds. He's a 3 down back for sure.

I don't mind Bell as long as the price is right.

    Probably won't.

  16. I like him as a 3 down/work horse but id prefer more of a play making type like Hill,Singletary or Henderson

He has the skill to be a 3-down back although he wasn't much of a pass-catcher, I guess I just can't see him being the 20 carry a night, workhorse kind of back that we need to put next to Sam.

I like the fact that he can absorb contact, keep it moving, have the balance, and lower body strength to keep it moving. He's a physical runner with some elusiveness. People say he's an upgraded version of James Connor

They got some nice weapons over in Iowa State. He had 624 rushes in college, I think he can handle the load. I don't think Campbell the coach of Iowa State, uses the backs in the receiving game much, but he did coach Kareem Hunt as well and he had 71 career catches in college. Montgomery had 73. Pretty good guy catching the ball at the next level.
