fuck me, right in out of the cold, that suggests the injuries have not cleared up for match time then.

Looks like the team will wait until Monday to decide on Jalin

I guess after a while that would wear on you. In terms of money, a steady spot on a practice squad is still the better option - minimum of $7,200 per week, while a CFL average salary is $80,000 per year. If you keep getting cut from the practice squad then the the lack of money adds to the uncertainty. I just think these guys are desperate to give themselves every chance to make an NFL roster. While they're young they probably think the hassle is worth it to stay on the periphery and maybe get a chance. As the years pass, maybe a little stability would start to look good.

Activated as of 10 minutes ago. The victim? Marcus Williams waived.

Interesting choice. Too bad about Marcus Williams. He seemed like such a promising player early on, but his play must have really fallen off over the past year or so

Nice to see some accountability. Williams was pretty terrible in his first extended action of the season yesterday. Was picked on repeatedly in coverage, and (as always) was a complete liability as a tackler.

The good news: At least one Marshall is on a winning team in New York. Burn.

Williams has been trash since last season after his 6 pick season in 2015. In any regard, adding Jalin to an already crowded WR corp is going to be detrimental for someone

Agreed. Following up your comment, I'm pretty sure the punt returner who fumbled in Bills game was also cut the next day. Seeing the Williams cut made me think about the emphasis on accountability we're seeing this year.

I wonder if the Jets are looking around other teams' PSs for a RB. Turf toes can last a while, so Forté may be out several more weeks. A strain can be mild or it can be more severe. You don't want to make it worse playing Powell before it has completely healed. I don't believe that Cadet hast had any playing time at RB since he was signed. At least he doesn't have any carries or receptions. I wonder if they'd use Thomas as a RB in an emergency. LOL

Too bad that Williams never was able to build upon that one season where he had so many interceptions.

Thomas is a good choice to put in the backfield. He's done it before as a FB with good blocking skills.

I guess Roberts and Burris must be ready to play.

Well for one I guess Roberts and or Burris seem to be ready to go for NE. That and the Jets feel Jones is close enough to being ready to get into game action.

To be fair, the entire defensive backfield last year started out as a clusterfuck against Buffalo, and it only got worse from there. Maybe this year, with two solid safeties it was a little easier to see what his role in all that actually was.

He had a knack for the INT but he was never really a great coverage corner aside from a couple games in 2015. He got burned all yesterday and I don't think he has the size to play on the outside. He could be a solid player for another team if he plays inside and improves his attack on the ball.

Nor really surprised. He has looked like crap lately. But I am sure he'll catch on somewhere else.
