  2. Constantly Inconsistent pad level in pass pro, nagging injuries & stupid penalties. Another stellar John Idzik signing.Should've stuck w. Austin Howard.

I stood by him in camp at Cortland when he first got here and I was legitimately surprised looking at him. He was big obviously but pudgy. Most NFL tackles, I've seen anyway, are like brick walls. This was before he even played a game for us I was thinking he must not be very athletic.

He was really nice to all the kids at Cortland though

You know how good teams cut a guy a year early, rather than a year late?

The Jets aren't a good team.

Our running game was always good for an extra 5 yards when Breno pushed the pile.....

Exactly. This is a year overdue. He got paid 5 million last year to do jack shit... An invalid would have released him in the 16 off season.

Didn't the Jets cut him last year and then bring him back near the end of the season when everybody was injured? Or was he just stashed on IR?

My understanding has been that he was stashed on IR then brought out at the end to make sure the Jets met their penalties quota for the year.

Its quite clear that brandon shell is the new starting RT. Guess he showed enough against some good competition at the end of the year.

IMO i think its a good move.

So it looks like the line for 2017 will be Johnson, Carpenter, Shell, Winters and mystery guy. Hopefully they draft a tackle early or can sign a decent one without over paying.
