About freaking time. Bring back the March draft. I have Mets and Rangers on the brain right now and the NFL is like overkill right now. Would have been great before baseball or the NHL playoffs.
We gotta go OJ Howard....I'm convinced he will be a borderline pro-bowl talent at minimum with potential to be the best Tight End in the league I don't believe in TE being a secondary position these days in the NFL. A great TE opens up everything and can help a young QB, which we will have for the foreseeable future, so much He's a huge weapon with huge upside and is a very safe pick in that I cant see him being anything less than very good Our offense has been starved of someone like him for years I think we take one of the Safety's which I would be OK with
Malik Hooker would be my favorite pick but I don't see him there at 6. Sign me up for Jamal Adams or Lattimore tho.
If we traded back be a good pick up in the 20s or 30s. I like him because of his football IQ and his leadership. Sometimes teams fall in love with what people can do. Gholson, Mamula, Stephen Hill etc. Had measurables and numbers but did they have football IQ? Peppers is athletic. Might not have the numbers but he is a football player. The Jets need football players. At the right spot he is a great addition for us. Definitely not at 6. That's my thought process.
I want the Jets to get some offense. I think Macc will take a corner and that will make me sick because it will probably be Lattimore. I want Fournette or Ross.
+1000 With no Trade Down get OJ Howard too Mac can't be that dumb to go for a CB early when they are a dime a dozen this year..we need an OL as well but maybe not at 6 Ya gotta hope and pray some QB needy team beside Cleve wants the 6th spot and makes an offer
I dislike all these db's they have rated high in this draft. I prefer the second tier like the two from Colorado, Tre from LSU, Josh Johnson. I also like Budda Baker.
I want the Jets to pick Adams or Fournette. If neither of them are on the board, then I would try to trade down.

I would be happy with Jamal Adams - I wouldn't be mad if they took Fournette - I don't want any of the QBs at #6 and I really don't want Lattimore and that is mainly because of the reported injury concerns
I think Fitz and Revis were probably the two worst players in the league last year. Parcells would have sat or deactivated them the entire second half of the season and played ANYBODY else. What is the definition of insanity? Doing the same things over and over and expecting change (which never happened). It is no coincidence that Fitz and Revis are STILL looking for work--nobody is as stupid as Bowles to troop them out there so their team can lose. THAT is why I hope Mac does not draft a QB in the 1st round in this draft. Bowles will play the old men--McNown (probably handing off the Forte in this "rebuilding" year) and the jets will AGAIN get squat all year from another high pick QB sitting on the pine.
