I want to know how much is he costing toward the cap, cuz if its big, i think we should get him to restructure or cut him, i mean he has been the biggest waste of height and a roster spot thus far

Same thing with Blaylock...He'd be cheaper if he's kept.

I am pretty sure that if we cut him he actually costs more against the cap. So at this point it makes absolutey zero sense to cut him.

Justin McCareins was injured almost all year last year. (I think it was his calf) I have read somewhere that it was making it hard on him to gain seperation, thus he was getting killed everytime he touched the ball, hence the dropped passes.

McCareins had a pretty good year in 2004 and in 2005 if you consider his nagging injury and poor offensive team. I actually believe he could flourish under our new regime.

I like Justin i met him and his wife at a signing he was very frustrated with himself and the situation last year.He may rebound and flourish with a new offense and regime i agree.

He was supposed to flourish being re-united with Dinger'...His drops and route running is very bad...He can have one game with 5 catches 75 yards and a TD...Then come back with 2 catches 14 yards. Very inconsistent player. Hopefully he can break out, but right now it's not lookin good.

The QB problem doesn't affect the drops he had and the piss-poor route running...Coles didn't seem to have a problem going over the middle, playing hard every down and making catches...

I have been saying this for a while... Some players get deflated in every category when they feel they have no chance to go to the playoffs maybe mccareins is one of those players. He will shine next year trust... But i still agree that he should restructure.

Coles was a much better route runner than JMac, which isn't saying much. Coles had his drops, not nearly as many as McCareins.

A QB has nothing to do with a WR's drops!! How can you defend his drops and poor route running due to a QB!?

Your killin me man!! What mojo did Ryan Fitzpatrick have with Torry Holt yet Holt still produced!

I'm not comparing Holt to JMac...But come on man! If the ball is IN YOUR HANDS, I don't care if it's from Peyton Manning or Kliff Kingsbury, you gotta catch the ball!!

McCareins is scheduled to count 3.242M against the cap in 2006.

If we were to cut him, we'd be charged an additiional 758K, or 4M of dead cash.

Cutting him would be plain dumb. He's a good player, give him a chance. If we want to save some cash, we could turn the 2.242M of salary into signing bonus. We could pro rate it over 4 yrs and make the savings be 1.7M or there abouts.

Ok listen up a decent quaterback throws the ball with velocity and puts it an area to be caught.Brooks Bollnger threw MANY under and overthrown balls. The recievers became frustrated.Have you ever watched a quaterback and a reciever practice or have you ever played the positions its all about timing.I barely saw any Jets reciever other than Wayne Chrebet go out of his way to catch the ball. And not having a tight end also made the recievers suffer.Coles is no better than McCareins.

i thought so playstation does not really teach you the proper way to play football you need to actually play the game to understand.

How about when Brooks threw some good throws and JMac dropped them? He had alot of drops, why are you trying to defend him so bad? And Coles is no better than JMac? Yeah that's very logical and intellectual
