I oscillate between hopefull and and angry, but I’m with you in this one. No one can blame Mac for this selection. Even if it does not work out we took the guy with the best FQB profile.

Can Darnold break the USC curse? Like the pick, but feel trading up prior to draft day caused us to give up too much to move up 3 spots. Could have gotten our pick between 2-3 of the top four QBs even if we stayed at #6. There was not three 2nd round picks difference in Darnold, Allen and Rosen.

The trade and pick were both brilliant.

    Embrace this.

Sam Darnold should be the QB equivalent of Sam Kinison. :)

In this market, that might serve the kid well...

I'm not a fan of the kid but he is a Jet and I will embrace him ! the USC track record isn't good for one not to mention the Jets can't develop a QB to save a life.

I did not watch him his freshman year ... I did last year and he is a turnover machine (great fit for us) I will hold out judgment for now ... as most of you guys point out his line was atrocious and he lost his play makers etc ... at the end of the day Mac got the best consensus and safest QB pick ...

I hear he will enjoy his share of apple turnovers while with the Jets.

So yesterday afternoon I made some posts how I have this "sour feeling" that Darnold is going to be the pick over Rosen.

After the pick was made, and I continued to read up on him through the night, I think I can eat my crow bright and early this morning. I'm in on Darnold.

Turnovers need correcting, no doubt, but when the majority of the media/analysts have him as the QB1 of this draft, and the Jets have him, how can you be mad?? There is true upside for the kid and at 20 years old, I am ecstatic for what may come.

As long as it wasn't Allen, I was happy. Rosen looked super annoyed getting the call from Arizona. Sam was all smiles.

The tide may be turning fellas!

Watched some tapes last night and today....man. Ok...some thoughts.

Have heard some on the ole t.v. state he has an unorthodox bit of a wind up throw. Heres what I will say...he does...and still gets rid of the ball incredibly fast.

    Touch...ouch...impressive.

Vision...now here is the key for me. That was not an impressive USC team he played for and its a known fact that on offense, it was run like crap from play design to calls. It actually probably helped make him a better qb because it seemed like more than 50% of what I watched of him was the 2nd...3rd...and even 4th option. What a fantastic..and I mean fantastic eye for the field.

Pocket Presence....here it reminded me of Big Ben but with two legs not one. His ability to feel around him was just flat out special. Yes there are the fumbles...but I would love to have a player to have that as his only blemish instead of accuracy (See Josh Allen...wtg Bills.)

Even in college when you watch highlights of the top qb's compared to pros, its amazing how wide open people are for many of their passes. That is not the case with his USC past. These were pro passes...in tough spots so many times.

    I'm all in.

Uh...isn’t that the essence of the Browns?
