If the Jets were called for as many penalties as the Eagles tonight it would be nuts here. If the offense was as bad as the Eagles O people would be screaming for the HC to be fired. Fail tonight
Jesus Christ. You see one "trick" play, get a boner and that erases the hot garbage the rest of that game gave us offensively. Philly's D and Atlanta's continuous ineptitude in the red zone should get credit for the win here.

In football more than maybe any other sport, you need to have the perfect blend of talent mixed with the scheme you bring and your coaching style. To assume that he would have the same success here is just ignorant.
I'm not saying last nights game was a masterpiece by any means....what I am saying is that Pederson consistently shows creativity and fresh play calling. Hopefully Bates surprises and shows similar ingenuity

Because of one trick play and sending receivers in motion? The Eagles offense was atrocious for 75% of the game. This is just looking for a reason to whine. Or make a new thread, who knows.
Consistently shows creativity? Other than one play, which has been run before...Brady and Pats, what is so creative about the Eagles offense? Other than having Wentz line up behind center most of the time?
He's Credited with bringing in a lot of the RPO things Wentz was used to in school to help with his transition to the NFL. Also, used a scaled down / modified version of his play book for Foles once Wentz went down to continue on to the SB. Basically, he is smart enough to work with the talent around him and not try to force a square peg into a round hole unlike most other NFL coaches. Not outsmarting yourself is a huge plus in this league.
Agreed. They are the defending champs and put up 18 points. SO AMAZING GUYS WOW!!! One trick play does not equal a great coach. They are lucky that the Falcons have an idiot coach and they left 4 points on the board, so that the last drive wasn't going for a game winning (or tying) field goal, which likely would have been hit. The Eagles almost gave that game away multiple times. The Falcons do that and the victory was all because of the Eagles mastermind coach, but if the Falcons were the Jets, Bowles would have been crucified for that 4th and goal decision as well as the penalties.
Pederson was terrible last night and had that been bowles people would crucify him. He wasted a timeout with less then 3 mins left becuase he couldn't figure out if he wanted to go for 2 or not. whiffed on a challenge that kept a drive alive for ATL thanks to a penalty on the next play for offsides. went for it on 4th down and failed and didn't use his top RB the entire first quarter. He was lucky to win that game
