Yes I know the Browns are asking for a 2nd round pick for Gordon which everyone in the NFL knows is rediculous which has a lot to do with why he's still in Cleveland. No news has been released about what/if the Titans are wanting for Britt. So lets not delve into speculative talks about trade cost but just the impact of said trade. Assuming both are 100% healthy. I personally think they're almost mirror images of one another. They're both physical studs, both are around 6'3-4" 225lbs, both are fast but not burners in that 4.5 range, both have great hand skills and can attack the ball. Gordon is 22 years old and Britt is 25. Gordon right now is obviously the better player and will cost more and Britt hasn't been able to prove what he is this year so it's a bit of a gamble but would come far cheaper. I honestly believe that with one at 100% health on our team going into Sundays game we finish the season with a 10-6 record which I believe will win the AFC East.
Even with a 100% healthy Santonio Holmes Josh Gordon would be our #1 WR, and if Britt can find his pre-ACL form he would be also, no doubt. Maybe the 2009 Santonio Holmes would beg to differ but it's 2013.
If I were to want one, I'd take Gordon 10x out of 10, even with the cost taken into account. We don't need another injury prone WR on the team. Gordon would instantly become our #1 WR, Holmes #2, with Kerley manning the slot. If we acquired Gordon, you'd certainly see a ton more 4 WR sets on 3rd down with Gordon/Hill on the outside and Holmes/Kerley on the inside.
Holmes is a malcontent and always injured. We'll do what we can with him this year but I doubt Atlanta wants another headache. Especially when their season may not be worth trying to salvage
Great idea in theory but I'd say the 2 WR's in question are the one ATL is going after. They're certainly a win now team and I couldn't see them wanting another injury risk paired with a banged up Roddy.
If we want to add a WR its best we look at team thats loaded there and would do the swap Jermaine Kearse in Seattle for example with Percy Harvin coming back they got Harvin/Rice/Tate/Baldwin and Kearse has talent and could be a nice piece to add
Garrett McIntyre will replace Barnes and I believe he'll do a good job. He's worse pass rusher but a better run stopper.
We have one of only 3 players in NFL history to be over 6'4", have a 40" vertical and run a 4.3 40. The other 2 are Calvin Johnson and Randy Moss. The last thing I would want is another project WR to hamper his development
Madden fans love to discuss NON-STARTER trades for the Jets. I can almost guarantee that some genius will be calling for us to sign Aaron Hernandez to beef up the TE platoon
Josh gordon would be a good add no question, but not better then the receiver/Te we can get in the 2ยบ round of 2014 draft , we are not a win now team so kinda not worth it.
No way I want anything to do with Britt. I would be interested in Gordon. Im not a big college football fan so I cant speak to his value vs a 2nd round pick. But I have watched him in 2 games and was very impressed.
