In most situations Hackenberg would be the QB the rest of the way to see if he has anything. However if he blows chunks, which is the likely result then the Jets probably clean house at the end of the year and start over with a high pick. So instead we will see McCown win another game or two this season and the Jets will remain the Jets.
Are you guys just looking for an excuse to watch this team? Why bother shut the NFL the fuck off it sucks
It's trolling not to pretend that these two bums are any kind of answer ? You guys are too much. What else do you wanna see
It's pretty clear the team has decided Petty isn't getting a shot. It will be McCown until we're eliminated from playoff contention, then Hack until the bell tolls. In my opinion, they should start Petty next week and let him play until we're eliminated, but the coaches/GM see things I don't see, and all evidence indicates that they see a reason not to evaluate Petty this year. If you stop expecting them to evaluate both Petty and Hack, and stop expecting them to make a QB switch before the playoffs become an impossibility, your blood pressure will normalize. Then, if they actually do play Petty, or make a change before we lose 8 games, it's all gravy--you might even be able to enjoy it. *There's also a chance that they've decided not to evaluate Hack this season at all, and they're putting Petty in once the playoffs are out of reach. I find this possibility even more confusing, but it is possible.* Either way, they don't intend to evaluate both, so there's no hurry to switch from McCown from the coach/GM perspective.
This is a sensitive subject on here with the Jets unexpectedly being so competitive but if they don't make the playoffs then the more they lose the better. I'd rather increase our odds of having a franchise QB for the next 15 years than win 8 games with Josh McCown.
Yep... Porgys and SeaBass coming over the rail like clockwork. Great Sunrise too off Belmar this morning.
You have to filet them. The ones running now are the jumbo variety.. They're not my favorite, but if they're biting, I'm catching! Fall fishing is the best!
Jets would be best served to eventually give both a look and I still think that's a possibility. How many more games and mistakes does McCown get to make before we see Petty or Hack? I would think that once we get the 6-7 loss mark it may happen cause at that point playoffs are not feasible and despite the wins and nice story lines, this year wasn't about making the playoffs it was about evaluating and building a young core. I think we'll see both Petty and Hack eventually, with Petty getting the first nod for the Bucs or Panthers game
It'll be very Jet like for the team to not draft a QB in 2018 but sign Matt Moore in the offseason. Since the Jets love mediocore QB's and will feel good with him as the starter, the front office will have to wonder if Petty or Hackenberg is any good backing up Moore...
Because with the pieces in place we will have no way of knowing if either of them is even remotely an nfl qb. Instead we will have a 40 yr old journeyman qb Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
