I'd love that. I am not sure why the Colts did not do that when they fired their GM and coach. Would have been smart.

I'm beginning to see things the way you do, I'm not in opposition to you.
It makes me wanna go back and find out when it started. I wanna say 2001 Tuck Rule.

i think the manning family wants to own a team, he's probably waiting till eli is done playing . tv is a better way to pass the time rather than getting involved in another team

While I think there as always manipulation by the NFL to ensure they lived up to their boast "On any given Sunday" to help keep fan interest, I think this really went into overdrive after Rozelle left.

Didn't you follow Joe on Twitter and Facebook. I remember him pulling out his mobile phone booth and posting a selfie during the Super Bowl....o_O

The NFL changed a lot after the Colts/Pats Championship game and further enforcement of defensive holding penalties.

Even if you go back and look at the qbs of the 1990s, their statistics are not great by today’s standards. Imagine the numbers that Kelly, Aikman and Marino would put up today?

Agreed. Jim Kelly is underrated. It's odd, winning 4 straight AFC titles is frowned upon in history because of the 4 Super Bowl losses, but Kelly and the Bills were great.

    Not only Broadway Joe.

Chad Pennington came along 10 years too early he'd be just like Aaron Rodgers if he played today.

    Maybe better.

The only players that had it worse than the QBs were the WRs going over the middle. Damn those guys got KILLED. There was no such thing as 'hitting a defenseless player'. Well there was such a thing, but there were no rules against it. In fact the harder you could hit a defenseless player the more money you made.

It was the Patriots that forced a rule change when their entire battle plan was to mug the opposing WRs the entire game (I forget which PO game it was, about 10 yrs ago)....just hit them and hit them and hit them some more, no matter where the ball was going. Hack a shack between the hashes. Fn Patriots. If Trump really wanted to make America great again, he sic a drone swarm on Gillette Stadium during a Pats/ Fish game.

I would love to see "old style football" covered by today's television.
