    It goes on and on?
I'd love to hear the rest if you don't mind...

Your current reasoning is so incredibly flimsy I think we need to hear the rest of this on going list.

This about sums his career up, until next preseason when he looks good against 3rd string defense, and all his followers are frothing at the mouth, RIP PUDDY!

More likely this is Petty's last game in the league.

Rightfully so. Too bad Madden couldn't teach him how to complete a 5 yard pass.

Why does Bryce Petty remind me so much of Browning Nagle...

Petty has a better completion percentage than Bowles has a winning percentage these past two seasons.

Both should be collecting unemployment checks tomorrow, but only one will be.

Petty should become an NFL head coach.

As long as its with a team that doesn't require winning for employment.

Refresh my memory for a minute. How many starts did Geno Smith get? As bad as Geno played in all of those games he never lost the starting job due to his play (he did get the hook in Buffalo but I think he started the following week). Geno only lost the starting job when he got injured (punch in the face / broken jaw).

Petty has the entire off-season to watch tape and work on his game. Maybe you cut him in camp but cutting him now gets us nothing.

This was Bowles biggest accomplishment — he’s right, Petty can’t play.

I agree. Draft a couple of QBs in the later rounds and let them compete for backup. I assume a vet will be our starter .

Nagle threw for 300+ yards against the Falcons in his first start.

Geno was the 39th pick, Petty was the 103rd - not really a fair comparison

He also threw 4 or 5 tds in that game and I think we also lost,,,,,,Sorry that Petty has not looked the part I was really rooting for him but with the proper coaching who knows, all I know is we have 2 more years of this crap !

Agree wanted the kid to be successful for all of our sakes... now we start all over again and need LT, C RT and QB.

Well, we all know and I think Petty knows his days as a Jet Qb are probably finished. Unless he learns how to throw short, he's not gonna get any looks from prospective teams looking for a capable backup. You never know though with injuries being what they are these days. I don't see him as a part of the 2018 team. I also don't see much value for him in a trade. Unfortunately, you can say the same for Hackenberg as well no matter what BS our newly extended HC feeds the media.
