    3 favorite Jets

    1 Kyle Clifton
    2 Joe Klecko
    3 Wayne Crebet

All 3 played with heard and soul

I'm surprised it took 10 posts before Joe Willie was mentioned

And while Joe Klecko is definitely #2 in my opinion, I'm also surprised no one has yet mentioned Marty Lyons

    Wayne Chrebet for me.

Dude was the definition of clutch and being a walk-on is a great story. Gave his all for this franchise.

It has to be Joe Willie.

I didn't realize it at the time, but Joe touched me inappropriately when I was 11, back in 1969.

I would have said Namath except for the off-the field aspect.

I'm glad someone listed both Clifton and Chrebet, and Toon. I thought of those three specifically in my comments about "others."

I thought about Lyons, but I don't think he was as good as the other names mentioned. He was one of the "others" that I thought about.

As a younger fan (29), I don't know what football was like back in the day. I hear of the impacts he had on the football world making it relevant for way more people.

But the only Namath I know is the drunk asshole who hits on sideline reporters and trash talks the team to the press every season. Dude reminds me of my uncle who never shuts up about his high school glory days.

Wesley walker. One eye tied behind his back. That mother was totally stylish.

Klecko was my all time favorite Jet. How is he not in the HOF is beyond ridiculous. I hope the HOF committee pulls its head out of its ass and puts him in. He deserves it and should be inducted while he is still around.

I knew you fuckers wouldn't follow protocol and pick one Jet!

    But that's fine...it's why I didn't make it a poll.

I see that most choices were player from over 20 years ago.

No Sancho...no Rex...no Geno. No Pennington?

If one took the time to check my posts since I got here, you'll read me extolling Namath & Klecko at every opportunity. But both had troubles off the field, and that tarnished their reputation to a degree.

I chose Martin for his grit and his life before and after football.
