For the second day in a row, the Tennessee Titans have added one of the top players in the unrestricted market, as the team reached agreement with former New England wide receiver David Givens on a five-year contract worth $24 million. ESPN.com's Michael Smith reports that Givens received an $8 million signing bonus http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2368161
Compared to what guys like Randle-El got, I think the Titans made a solid signing here. For what its worth he got roughly the same bonus money the Jets gave McCareins.
Amazing what pleases Jets fans these days. Long gone are the days of looking forward to winning, now it's only about others losing. Hey, I can't judge, I've been there. Hats off to Givens. 7th round pick earned his contract and cash. Good for him.
Givens is another player who is grossly getting overpaid. Where are the owners head at when they give palyers these ridiculous contracts?
