My Epic Edition was delivered on release date... Amazon rox. Also, there is/was a $20 future game credit for the regular version so if you planned on gettng BF3 you'd get a $20 discount. I always do this but I got the epic since this is the last of the trilogy. Now the game. I was a little disappointed by the storyline... it isn't as good and as emersive as the 1st 2 GOW. Also, it was short. I finished it within 24 hrs of getting it. That said, the graphics are a little better, the online play is 10x better in both play and lag. Overall the presentation and xtras is the best of the 3.
I beat it last night. The final battle was a little lackluster but the cutscenes in this game were the best of the 3. What makes Gears to me so great is the characters. They all work together so well so the cutscenes were my favorite part. The gameplay is your standard Gears. Go from point A to point B and get ambushed countless times. The online seems to be way better and all the unlockables make you keep playing it.
