In all fairness most mocks are. I was on another site that had 3 saftys in the first. This is all jsut trying to guess by lining up team nees with players at this point. We'll know alot mroe in the coming months.

I have read all over this board that the safeties in this draft are garbage, and this looks like the kind of mock draft where they fill in team needs with the highest ranked player at that position.. despite whether or not their talent fits with the round they get drafted.. but how bad is Barron?

I'm sick I didn't get to watch a ton of bama games, and its too early to find good every down videos on youtube..But I'd love a big athletic SS that can hit.. I mean 6'2 220 is a lot more appealing than 5'8 185 ..

Now I know ahead of Alshon is unrealistic.. but I see no way he's there when we are OTC anyway.. if Upshaw, Burfict, and Alshon are all off the board does barron seem any better a pick or do you just hope an OL drops and pick him up?

I've not watched bama much myself this season. Barron looks the part, but even bama supporters think he will be good and can start right away, but is nothing special. Most every report I've read list him as a very good in the box safty and only ok in pass coverage.

I agree. I think may people are over estimating what the hand injury is going to do to his draft stock.

Quite a few scouts are concerned with his weight being an issue.

Combine is going to be a key in where Jeffery is drafted.

Where you finding reports of weight being an issue. Everything I've read was geared more towards his route running being sloppy out of breaks as opposed to phsyical fitness.

Jeffery's big attribute is his ability to go up and get the ball combined with the power to break tackles after the catch, not his speed. I think he is a 10 to 20 pick in this draft even if he runs on the slower side. He would have to bomb the combine to go much lower given his very good production in that offense.

lol yea. His ability to go get the ball and good hands would make him a very good red zone target. Either as a replacement for Plax or a guy to groom under him for a year.
