I am so pissed I forgot to make my picks this week too. :sad:

i havent made my picks since week 2....no trophy or reward = no motivation

 

yeah, it's a bummer that there's no prize, but I'm still playing. tied for 4th, baby!

too bad there's basically no chance of catching statjeff.

 

I think statjeff22 scored bonus points at least two times. (I do not like bonus points, even though they helped me finish in 3rd place last year and receive a prize.)

I know there was one week (either Week 4 or 5) where coming into the week I was 6 points ahead of him. I had a decent week, went over .500. A couple days later, I looked at the standings and statjeff22 was ahead of me!

The first 11 weeks I tried to play it straight. It didn't work well enough. I was 11 or so points behind. Starting with Week 12, any games that I think could go either way, I'm taking the underdog and hoping I go better than .500 with such games. It didn't work for me in Week 12. Picking the Lions, Panthers, Redskins, and Broncos really hurt.

By the way, my 111 points going into Week 13 are legit. I have not scored any bonus points this year.

One of two things will happen. Either I will make an amazing recovery and finish close to or better than statjeff22 or I will fall even further behind and maybe not even finish in the top 30.

 

Ha, there's no prize? I wasted my time for nothing then, I suppose.

4 7 out of 14: 7 points + 0 bonus points = 7 total points. (+ 1 MNF points)
5 11 out of 14: 11 points + 0 bonus points = 11 total points. (+ 1 MNF points)
6 5 out of 13: 5 points + 0 bonus points = 5 total points. (+ 0 MNF points)
7 7 out of 14: 7 points + 0 bonus points = 7 total points. (+ 0 MNF points)
8 8 out of 13: 8 points + 0 bonus points = 8 total points. (+ 0 MNF points)
9 9 out of 14: 9 points + 0 bonus points = 9 total points. (+ 1 MNF points)
10 10 out of 14: 10 points + 0 bonus points = 10 total points. (+ 1 MNF points)
11 11 out of 16: 11 points + 0 bonus points = 11 total points. (+ 1 MNF points)

yeah, jeff must've gotten bonus points to be that far ahead.

 

it makes it more about who has more big weeks than who does better overall.

I think I agree with Cakes here.

Why should someone who got 14 and 6 in consecutive weeks be preferred over someone who got 10 and 10?

 

I have no motivation to go out of my way to make picks each week if it's all for nothing.

 

should I just take the pool down? I mentioned before this all started in August that there would be no prizes this season.
