if you had any doubts that this team is going nowhere but towards a 5-11 record or thereabouts today's game against a mediocre to shitty performer with Fitz at the helm is living proof. Our offense was dreadful, pathetic, lethargic, with a horrific game plan, no adjustment and poor execution. Non withstanding our turnstile OL led by Winters, McCown was really, really bad. He continues to hold the ball way long and his passing was atrocious. Good man, great person, fantastic leader but not a good QB. We are going no where with him. So why not find out if we have something with the kids? What is there to loose. May be an injury behind that sorry offensive line but surely Petty can find a target in half the time it takes McCOWN or throw the fucking ball away. How much worst than today's shit show can it be? Can't this CS come up with a game plan with quick passes, screens, Roll outs, fakes, and better mixing the run and pass FOR THE KIDS? Every other coach seems to do just fine with rookies. But not us. This season is for not at this point. It has no more meaning. Any thought of having McCown behind center next year is a joke. We need to see if Petty and or Hack are even worth keeping in 2017. We don't need any more of the same old shit. We need hope, reassurance, some hint that someone in this organization is worth a damn and knows what is so desperately needed. Fuck the wins or losses, at this juncture we need to find out if we have a future with our in house talent or move guns ablazing for a real QB and HC in 2018. Or sooner. Jet fans deserve better...if not wins, at least hope and a much smarter approach. Today's game was simply unwatchable offensively.
Don't hold your breath. Didn't you see this movie last year? They're gonna give McCown another year as a "bridge/mentor". Just hope they trade or cut Petty and let Hackenberg live up to his draft status finally.
