Eddie Lacy for LaGarrette "Smoky" Blount. Should I accept that trade?

Unbelievable how far Lacy has fallen

yeah you are probably right I just have delusions of a late season surge when the snow starts flying and GB needs to run the ball.

Plus I hate the Bill Beladuche game where you never know if Blount will get 50 carries or 0 carries based solely on what Bill had for breakfast that morning

Still man. Lacey has gotten me more than 10 points once so far and in the past two weeks he hasn't gotten more than 5 points. Last week he had 2. Blount has already had two 20 point games.

Sit tight. Heading into a bad matchup with the Jets, it's not the week to buy high on Blount & sell low on Lacy. Blount is at his peak right now, and hopefully a poor showing against the Jets may allow you to squeeze a decent throw-in out of the trade. It sucks that Lacy is on bye this week, because one good showing, coupled with his name and hype, will send his trade value way up again.

You gotta ask yourself why is he offering you such a big "stud" for such pure "garbage". It's not WR for RB offer where he might justify the move by weak RB roster. It's RB for RB.

Seriously, why do you think he is so eager to part with extra ~ 8 pts/game on average?

Just to be clear. He is offering me Lacy for my Blount. maybe you knew that but with some of these posts I guess I didn't make that clear. I have Blount and I am considering pulling the trigger on this offer.

but- to answer your question as to why he might've offered it- 1) He took Lacy like really early in the draft, if not 1st and that big bust so far has gotten him in last place. I suspect he wants to unload him because he is pissed off and in last place with nothing to lose.
    2) he's a big stoner lol so its possible he just got high and said fuck it. I doubt there is any underlying thought behind the deal other than just him needing to change it up

If you're the one with Blount, I'd say it depends on the context of your situation. What's your record/place in the standings? How's the rest of your RB depth?

Without context, I'd lean towards making the trade for Lacy. His upside is significantly higher, and he's had slow starts/stretches before. All trades are a gamble. If you have the RB depth that you can afford to sit Lacy until he proves he's "back" without missing Blount's floor too much, or if you're behind in the standings and in desperate need of a lottery ticket to salvage your season, make the deal.

    I did misunderstand you, sorry.
In this case you should trade, IMO. Lacy is too good of a player to continuously hover at ~5 pts/game. And Blount's value, as you know, depends on BB's mood. You have ultimate opportunity to sell high and buy low, I'd certainly do it.

thanks. I just pulled the trigger. I understand Lacy is probably frustrating but I got Ivory, Chris Johnson, and Ronnie Hillman. I can afford to take a flyer on the potential Lacy gets his shit together. I'm going for it all this year. My HS buddies and I have been playing this league since seriously forever. honestly pre-2000 I bet. I've never won. Its like a running joke that I can't win. Its fuckin time. Lacy gets his shit together and I'm stacked

i managed to trade Lacy and Travis Benjamin for Gurley.
guy i traded is desperate for players, and pretty clueless in fantasy.

think this trade is protest worthy?
it gets processed tomorrow. no one has complained yet, but i have a feeling they haven't seen it, as Yahoo doesn't make it very clear when a trade is pending.

    i think so too.
would you protest it though, or is it somewhat reasonable?

Lacy still has upside, and Benjamin is the 9th ranked WR in my league right now (hasn't had his bye yet tho)...
we get .5pt per first down, and 1pt per 20 return yds..

No protesting for me unless there is collusion.

It's bad for the side getting Lacy/Benjamin, but not even close to the worst ones I've seen.

As I said, Lacy is such garbage.

You should have kept Blount. Blount had 18 points today while Lacy had an amazing -1

I'm thrilled he's one of my keepers -_-

Eddie "Fucknut Asshole" Lacy. What a disaster of a fantasy football player. Talented enough for a great week. Fat and lazy enough to shit the bed.
