I get that this isn't real life drafting, but I wish the draft game was a bit more aligned with reality.

I was fully expecting one of the high scores with all the dumb A+ I was getting. Oh well. I would do anything for a draft like this...

I got robbed on this one. Of the 906 players drafted, surely 345 should make the roster, and 22 should be all pro.

so yeah it's fun but i wanted it to be realistic (as we all know you can inflate your score by trading down a million times) so i only traded down once in the 3rd round which netted me 1 extra pick (comp pick 3rd round)

Your score is: 31638 (GRADE: A)

    Your Picks:
Round 1 Pick 3: Bosa, Nick, DE, Ohio State (A+)
Round 3 Pick 13 (CAR): McCoy, Erik, OG/C, Texas AM (A+)
Round 3 Pick 29: Samuel, Deebo, WR, South Carolina (A+)
Round 3 Pick 36 (CAR): Johnson Jr, Lonnie, CB, Kentucky (A+)
Round 4 Pick 3: Wilson, Caleb, TE, UCLA (A+)
Round 6 Pick 23: Gaines, Greg, DT, Washington (A+)
    Round 7 Pick 3: Pollard, Tony, WR/RB, Memphis (A+)

    Reasoning

Bosa - in this instance, murray and allen went 1 and 2 so bosa was a no brainer and I didn't want to simulate a trade down here (not to mention the offers sucked and were low balls)

mccoy - natural center who can also play guard (but would play center for us) 3 year starter in college. grades out as a potential starter in the NFL and can compete with harrison off the bat to start in 2019

Samuel - Gives us a WR4 and should be able to contribute on offense off the bat as a slot WR in 3 and 4 WR sets as well as a good special teamer with KR/PR ability since we let roberts walk

Johnson Jr - a tall athletic CB who is more of an athlete then a complete player but reminds me of antonio cromartie as he gets by with his size and speed more then his skills and technique. could be molded into an eventual starter as i don't expect daryl roberts to keep that job after 2019 and Johnson can be his replacement. Poole is also on a 1 year deal so right now our CB situation is pretty iffy for 2019 and beyond so made sense to grab one here

wilson - last year it seems mac hit the lottery with a 4th round TE in herndon, maybe he can do it again? after herndon our TEs are not very good. legget is close to being a complete bust and nobody else really stands out as of now. wilson could be the TE2 in his rookie season. he's a project and not much of a blocker but could develop into a solid receiving TE2

gaines - our DTs are pretty thin right now. gaines is a high motor guy with good enough size to play NT. probably not a starter at the NFL level but could be good for spelling mclendon and depth and it's the 6th round at this point

Pollard - listed at WR/RB pollard is a perfect fit for the jets. he's a gadget player with good size and speed who can play RB and WR. he's also one of the top returners in college football over the past 3 years. funny enough in his draft bio on nfl.com his NFL comparison is andre roberts.

    Overall

I think this draft is pretty realistic and nails everything we need. we get a stud pass rusher at 3, in the 3rd round we land a possible starting C, a CB with potential, and a WR who can add depth and does returns. the rest of the draft gives us depth at TE, DT, and a good gadget player who also returns kicks so we get a nice boost to special teams overall with samuals and pollard. Only thing not addressed really is OT which has to wait until next year but we should be ok enough with beechum and shell and the improvements on the interior with osemele at guard and possibly mccoy at C.
