I wonder if he how much success he has compared to the average Belichick assistant as HC.

Gimme a break with that it's got to be the right fit baloney.

There are only 32 of those jobs in the entire planet. Right fit pfft!!!

At least he has the brains to accept it unlike McDaniels who passed up the opportunity to coach Andrew Luck last year.

It's interesting because Flores isn't the stereotypical Mangini, McDaniels, Patricia, etc. Pats assistant. Plus their defense was better this year than last year under Patricia. Though maybe it was because Belichick took a more hands-on role this year. Anyway, I have a feeling Flores will motivate the Dolphins players and make the defense play well enough that they screw up their tank.

The BB assistants historically have not done well. Doesn't mean Flores will be bad but it doesn't look promising.

He's only holding the job until Jim Harbaugh comes in 3 years. He holds the job when they tank, Jim H. comes in after he finally wins or plays in a CFP Championship Game.

He is taking Chad O'Shea with him to become his offensive coordinator. O'Shea has spent the last decade as N.E.'s wide receivers coach.

Flores definitely pushed the Pats D into a more attack style this year. I'm sure BB had a hand in this also, but it was a major shift in approach from the last 6 or 7 seasons. I think they finally felt comfortable with the DB's to let the front 7 get after it more.

Certainly not total attack like a Rex defense, but similar in that the other team never knew who was coming on passing downs.
