    Mike Ortiz Jr. @xOrtiz4x
I've been told that the Jets and Texans are considering checking in on a trade for Bears Jay Cutler as well.

I've been told there's zero chance this FO would do that.

Also, him and Marshall don't exactly have a great relationship. Remember what he said about Cutler after being traded?

Not happening, even if it would be nice to have a better QB..

No! He is overrated AND overpaid. If he came with a modest salary then I'd say maybe so we could try to continue to make some noise this season. However, bringing in Cutler could really do damage to our salary cap situation.

In the end, even if he got us to the playoffs he would probably do more harm than good unless we won a SB with him. Given that the recent chill is merely fall weather and not hell freezing over, I feel confident in saying that Cutler isn't going to lead any team to a SB at this point in his career.

Does anybody even start to consider payroll or reality with these rumors? Real life negotiations are nothing like madden no matter how much some people want it to be.

Sure, we will take him and the OP can pay him..why not? Then when we cut him you will only owe him 29m to fire his ass. Not to mention the day you do it the best receiver we have had in 30 years may walk away never to return.

I don't see this happening because the Bears should pay off a chunk of Cutler's contract first. Not enough time for that. It would require a three way negotiation. Of coures if I'm Cutler I would want to go to the Jets. Chicago is going nowhere this year, probably next as well. Cutler would overnight transform the Jets into a solid winner.

Maybe the Jets give up either Wilkerson or even Richardson, and Chicago eats that big chunk. That kind of thing made more sense in the off season, though. Not enough time for that today.

Having said that I see many posters here can't separate issues with his contract from what he could bring to the Jets. Cutler is a top fifteen Qb. A top fifteen Qb on this team and we could go back to talking playoffs. With Smith and an injure Fitz at Qb, you can forget about the playoffs.
