    Very noncommital. When asked what defense or offense he would be running, he gave the whatever fits our guys best and causes the most problems for who we are playing. Asked about the 3-4 or 4-3, EM basically said both at times. Didnt say much really, although I like the flexibility, the more you show, the more other teams have to prepare for, gives you the mental edge when you keep em guessing. Hopefully he wont be to prideful or whatever it was that Herm was when he would not pick on a 2nd/3rd string CB.

    and i love it.

    this "poker" style he brings to the media is great because he's unwilling to divulge into any strategy; and that's a competitive, winner's mentality.

    cheers

    Yeah, basically he said a lot of nothing. But as stated by eddawg, the nothing-ness kinda keeps everyone speculating and weanting more...

    You mean Mangini's father didn't make him "sweep the corners, son..sweep the corners"?

    <sigh>

    . . . . good times. . . good times. . .

    Sad how I have to cruise Chiefs boards just for an occasional fix. But, it ain't the same.

    In other news, strange how it was just a couple years ago when Bill Belichick (who invented this boring, close-lipped, style) was derogated at all ends of the NFL-watching world for that which we praise Eric Mangini today.

    That would be sick if he played both 4-3 and 3-4, offenses would be like uuhhh duhhh, :lol:, if it does happen i would be pumped, because i have been saying this for a long time, even when herm was our coach. I felt real good about mangini wanting to do that. And im not backing out now. Not giving up. A mixture of the 2 schemes will win us a championship. Or 2.

    We need to address the WR and offensive lines we are good. Our TE's are ok, baker showed he can catch the damn ball, and jolley needs to use catching drills this upcoming camp.

    We will be ok guys.

    Dude I do this in Madden all the time and I kick ass. lol

    I don't think this would present any huge problems for opposing offenses, but it would give them a little bit more to prepare for and give our defensive coordinator a little bit more flexibility. We'll need any edge we can get.

    That's cool, but i was thinking about it, and drafting mario williams, having shaun ellis, robertson, oelhoffen, pope who i think will play real hard for us, pouha who can be useful and take on blockers, thomas if still on the team can be a good run stopper, we have flexibilty to do many things.

    Putting all the talent together with the drafted we can be a very disruptive team.

    I rather be disruptive than dominant. Disruptive causes Interceptions, fumbles forced, tips for interceptions, pass defensed, we are signing players to equal a disruptive team, not star players who then can call a team from speculation a dominant defense.

    Mario..mario..mario.. We need mario.
    And mangold, or eslinger.
