I was just watching ESPN News and the reporter mentioned there would be a Players union meeting next week which could de-certify the union. Does anyone know what that means??

It means they can sue the owners in federal court... They can claim anti-trust problems since NFL does not have an exception to that law like MLB does.

I don't get it...Lebanon, is a small town near the 2 CT casinos. It's the largest town in CT land wise, but has a very small population...And I love it here.

Well, that doesn't sound good at all.

It's an empty threat. Decertifying a union (especially one made up almost entirely of millionaires) is a pretty tough nut. I'd be surprised if they can even get the 30% required to file a petition. A lot has changed since 1987-or whenever it was-that the players last went on strike.
