Medically and recreationally. The difference here is that he was well aware that it's currently a condition of his employment, and was given fair warning WHEN he'd be tested - and he did it, anyway. Dummy material right there. Also, in order to be suspended for weed, he tested positive more than once. He's an idiot. Remember the Ricky Williams thing? Not that I gave a crap because I hate Miami, but he actually VOLUNTARILY left the NFL after his suspension just so he could smoke pot and study Ayurveda. Then he came back after he ran out of cash, lol. The NFL is considering re-evaluating the rule. This is a huge, complicated subject, and I'll preface it by saying that I'm right about all of it. Worse Day at Florham Park ever. More later.
I have a feeling the NFL is going to concede on this to prevent a lockout when the CBA is up in 2020 They’ll distract the players from all the ways they’re being financially shafted and put in life-shortening conditions in exchange for removing a policy that should’ve never existed in the first place. The players will eat it up because the idea of being able to smoke test-free will be too appealing to them, and they’ll go another decade without addressing any of the real problems in the CBA.
Darron Lee has been one of the most unlikeable Jets since he was drafted. He talks so much shit all the time, and then literally never backs it up. I think he has been slowly improving, but it is hard to tell since the team is so bad around him. Now throw this suspension in, and he is another mess of a player on this roster Mac has built. I also read he deleted his Twitter account when the suspension news broke, so he is also a coward. We knew that already though.
I also read somewhere that he deleted all of his social media. Does he also lose his guaranteed contract $? If so, he's an even bigger idiot. I'll make it simple. When you agree to a job with let's say a dress code that says you can't wear green pants and you take the job, you're agreeing to the dress code and you don't wear green pants. If you wear green pants multiple times, you're subject to disciplinary action. To me that's more the point here/today/on point than whether or not pot use should or shouldn't be a punishable offense in society, the workplace, or otherwise. EDIT: Just to clarify, sure, you can wear green pants in the privacy of your own home off the clock, just make sure that you don't test positive for green pants when you show up to work knowing you will.
Least likeable player on a roster full of unlikable players Deleting his twitter is a dammed step in the right direction at least
You would have to be taking very high doses of CBD oil, especially if derived from hemp to test positive. Do we even know what substance he tested positive for?
Lee's defense https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/masturbating-science-orgasms-create-rush-marijuana-trey-reckling Apparently, he didn't smoke marijuana, he's a chronic masturbator
Buddy of mine has a Medical marijuana license. The shit he puts out is orders of magnitude stronger than what we were burning in HS.
Yeah, Darron Lee's an idiot, but suspending 4 games for a substance that doesn't enhance a player's abilities or compromise the integrity of the game in the slightest is ridiculous. It's like suspending somebody for getting drunk in their free time.
What next, is the NFL going to conduct independent breath analyser tests to insure no alcohol consumption during their personal time off. No different than smoking grass.
News Flash. NY Daily News reports that TB and CS toke-up before leaving for the playing field. This is why you see three O penalties in one possession, or multiple penalties on D, ST, or punting when you have two yards. J&J distributes it so that players can enjoy the moment. Sorry guys had
