The Germans have been to blame for everything since they bombed Pearl Harbor.

Yep. :) The War Guilt clause stating the Germans were totally to blame for WW1...err yeah right... they do share the blame, of course, but totally? Nah.

Anyone know why he lost his duties of relating the plays to his teammates?

Some girl knock him out at a concert and he forget or something?

We're almost halfway through the season and Lee is still one of the top graded coverage LBs in the league. At what point do people start dropping the act and give him credit for turning into a top guy at his position?

    Yes
When did being good in one aspect at the position (i.e., coverage) and putrid at another (i.e., against the run) averages out to being a top guy?

Putrid is quite an oversell, but either way point taken. He's still been fantastic for us this year and I think he deserves a little credit considering how much crap he's taken in his first two years on this board.

I'm very happy that he's developing into the great coverage LB we thought when we drafted him. That said he has a lot of work to do against the run before he considered one top LBs in the league.

I don’t give PFF any credibility whatsoever, I really determine for the most part how a player is by what I see on the field.

However since you use it, what does PFF rate him against the run?

Don't know, I don't trust them enough to pay for their services. That was posted by someone else.

I find one-off PFF stats to be dopey and rarely an accurate indicator of reality. When a player ranks that highly in 4-5 separate categories, there's probably some fire behind that smoke. Also... if you have eyes, they have been telling you that Lee has been fantastic in coverage this season.

Lol it's a joke half the fan base kills this man still after he improves in the one major area of need and what he was drafted for.

Celebrating like an idiot when there's a fumble right in front of him. Could summarize his career in that one play.

EDIT - how did PFF rank that play? LOL

Usually when you type LOL after your own joke, that means even YOU know it isn't funny.

If you're going to get on anyone for that play, it's Nickerson. He was in position to get the ball. Lee still would have had to get through the receiver. Not excusing him, but you're also being very dramatic in your recollection of the play.

Nickerson was dumb too. Him and Lee both. Nickerson is a rookie who shouldn't even be playing if there wasn't a ton of injuries in the secondary. What excuse can we use for Lee?

Apparently my one off PFF subscription is still working.

52.0 run defense grade. So not good.

Thanks, What I would like to see Bowles do is play Luvu at ILB and move Lee to weakside OLB just to see what he can do there. Let him get after QB and create mismatch with RB that are called on to block.

Bowles already uses Adams to come in from the weakside on blitzes. Send both Lee and Adams from that side once in a while. Not sure if he has done so in past, just want to see him get to LOS or beyond it from weakside.

He was drafted to be a linebacker that can play the pass in today's NFL. There is plenty of time for Lee to improve in terms of shedding blocks which is his glaring weakness. Right now, I'm very happy with his progress. Every fan should be too.

How do we grade as a team D against the run and how do the front guys rate?

Or is what we've seen against the run the last two weeks all Lee's fault? I'm sure all the smart guys here have all the answers already tho. Yeah, and PPF sucks.

Over the course of the season as a team we are 13th in the league in run defense. 1st in the league in coverage. 21st in pass rush.

Avery Williamson is our highest rate run defender followed by McClendon in the mid to low 70s, which are both pretty positi e.

Vs Minnesota all of our dlinemen with the exception of Canadian Thanos had a bad game in run defense and vs the Colts everyone with the exception of Thanos and McClendon. Our dline isn't playing well which I think we can agree with PFF on.
