It was only a matter of time before The Ginger got hurt. Typical Jets, trade up to #3 for your FQB and then put him behind a crappy OL so he can spend most of his time running for his life.

Watson tore his ACL in a none contact injury during practice. Namath had one of the great Offensive lines in football history and had multiple injuries including a broken jaw. He didn't miss a game after that one. He was wearing a wired jaw.

Rosen was in a boot after the Denver game. Lead a two TD 4th Quarter comeback in his next game.

Big deal the guy is in a boot. It's still tackle football. Having a good OL vs. a bad OL doesn't prevent sprained ankles, knee injuries, contact and none contact ACL's, etc., etc., etc.

My biggest grip of Sam so far is for a big mobile QB he refuses to take a first down that's sitting in front of him with a little scramble. Tom Brady takes them when they are sitting in front of him.

He's in a boot with an ankle sprain and the fan base is freaking out. Losing is supposed to make you tough not a bunch of crybabies.

    Jets fans are plenty tough.

Why, on this very forum we had a guy to move a brain tumor in his bathroom with a needle nosed vice grips.

Toughest son of a bitch you ever saw.

The mere fact we even need to debate this is nothing short of absurd. How the hell did I fall for this team 40 years ago. I'm as dumb as they get.
Gonna go smash my fingers with a rubber mallet.

Back in the day we kept a bone saw in the garage to deal with a sprained ankle. Cut the foot off, rub dirt on in and play ball.

Wesley Walker played without an eyeball.

    A fucking eyeball.

Darnold's got another ankle, man up.

Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it.

Sam has scrambled before. I think he's just getting a little gun-shy now because he's getting creamed. As to Brady, he also has a built-in protection that Sam Darnold does not: the refs. Brady's doing it every time it presents in hope of drawing a flag that no one else in the universe would get.

Who said anything about character? Have you ever sat in the Stands at a Jets game?

Shea Stadium for the win. If you haven't gotten hit by collateral damage peanut shells or Rheingold caps, you haven't lived.

    Yup, 80,000 characters.

Cannot believe what a bunch of crybabies we've become.

Todd and O'Brein were both notorious for locking in on receivers eyes. When they were passing to Walker they were looking all over the place.

In comparison to Rosen, if we didn't have the bye next week, do you think Sam would start vs Buffalo or still sit?

You may be right, but if so, then Sam will never become a FQB. I certainly wouldn't put up with that crap, and I think that anyone who is confident in his abilities wouldn't either. The Jets aren't going to get rid of him because he speaks out, but even if they did, teams would line up to take him.

Wesley had two eyes. One of them just didn’t work.

Kind of a perfect universal metaphor for the Jets.

I was going for a John Wick reference.

    Apparently not well enough.
