According to Dan Hellie of the NFL Network, the wide out is expected to sign on with the Miami Dolphins. The terms of the deal were not immediately reported. This is obviously a huge blow for New England's offense who lose a trusted and clutch weapon in Amendola. Of his 28 catches on third down this past season, Amendola has been able to convert 25 of them for first downs. He also caught all four of his targets on fourth down and converted each of them for a
32 year old who is injury prone and now without Brady playing for a team that should be rebuilding. Great signing. His performance in the playoffs got him one last good payday. The Dolphins are the suckers signing the checks.
Assuming Edelman and Mitchell are healthy this year, the Pats weren't going to pay him anywhere near that. Clutch player who, unfortunately will get injured with overuse. I see him ending up like he was with the Rams.
