How did Cro get that cap number in the first place? Classic Jets!

that's why everyone you've named will walk the plank before draft day 2014 except for Tanny of course.

As with Cromartie, and every other player, follow the money. Pace didn't have a better offer, that's why he came back. If Cromartie has a better offer he will move on. That' s the bottom line.

Definitely should be cut before the bonus kicks in, but would also love having him back (and healthy) at a more reasonable rate.

I'd take Cro back as high as 8 million or so against the cap. He's a very good Corner when healthy, but very few if any corners are worth even 10 or 11 million cap space per year.

Every team in the league has contracts like this where they are designed to be either released or restructured. It's not a "classic Jets" move. It's time to move on from Cromartie IMO, unless he's willing to take a very large pay cut.

    Cromartie expects to be cut.
And the entire Jets fanbase expects Cromartie to be cut as well.

I don't think cutting or restructuring Harris is all that ridiculous. He's a good player, but is way overpaid imo. He never was fast, and there's a lot of plays he can't make because of his lack of speed. He's being paid like he's Willis or Matthews or some other top LB. IMO he's at least a tier below them, maybe two. If he's willing to take a pay cut to finish his career with the Jets, great, but if not, then he shouldn't be a Jet in 2015.

This is why we should have traded Cro last year instead of Revis.Cro was coming off probowl we coulda got a second rounder for him and drafted Sheldon but not Millner

    Scrub scrub scrub scrub
    ----------------

Commits boneheaded plays and penalties all the time.

Tons of quality FA CB. Sign an elite young CB opposite Milliner and see our pass D be much improved next year.

what young, elite CB is a FA that you expect the Jets to be able to sign?

Cromartie, if healthy, is the best CB available to the Jets next year. Hopefully he gets his hip injury sorted out and agrees to return at a lesser salary
