Maybe any other season I would have known it was a TD but with all the bullshit that got overturned this year I was paranoid they'd still say he only had control for two steps, or was in the middle of his third step or find another codicil to overturn it. I was even shocked that earlier TD catch counted, that was less of a catch than the Seferian-Jenkins plays that got overturned And yes Collinsworth's an ass, it's been a while since I've heard an announcer go blatantly homer like that.
^Yep, was totally expecting Lazarus to rise from the dead on that call. Something obscure. A new tuck rule or some chit. The NFL is a disgraceful rigged league Haha, there's a coupla gems about Collinsworth by yours truly. Unlike the refs who screwed Seferian-Jenkins, I'm honest but too dumb to post a link properly, so good luck, but it's post #106 . . . unless it worked, then color me amazed. Just like I was last night. Somewhere out there Dick Vermeil is crying.
He is insufferable and I have no idea how he's still able to commentate games with Al Michaels who is iconic. Really questioning the catches because you're upset it was against the Pats is hilarious to me. As if they didn't benefit from those same ref calls earlier in the season versus the Jets and the Steelers.
I used to like Collinsworth but I agree he was really a Patsy homer last night. On the Ertz TD saying he came out so strong saying that he fully expected that be overturned. He turned off a lot of folks last night.
Tony Romo provides more football insight by passing gas on the mike that Collinworthless provided by opening his mouth the entire game. Having him as an NFL commentator at a Superbowl was a disgrace.
I mark Collinsworth commentary last night down to the simple fact that even an ex-NFL WR doesn't know what really constitutes a catch these days.
Both times I knew the call on the field was correct, although I questioned it because the NFL's rules are so stupid that you never know what they'll pull out of their asses + patriots.
