That's true but one thing that's been stressed a lot lately is continuity so I think their first choice would be somebody internal. I can see Bates being offered the job and I think the org is also high on Kevin Greene. I could see Greene as a dark horse HC candidate If we want to go outside the org, Bruce Arians. Though he's already 65 so we'd have to hire him next year and hope he give us 4 good years
What would happen? The greatest Hell in a Cell match since Undertaker vs. Mankind, that’s would happen.
That match was a bit of a spotfest for me. Granted they were all time legendary spots. I liked UT-HBK better
You really think with this roster you expect more than 7 wins? It's going to take a few more years to build the offense and hopefully the defense starts playing like a top 10 defense.
No need to worry about that. I don't think Bates is the answer for a number of reasons. First I don't think he eats, sleeps and drinks football. We already have a disconnect head coach. Bates went walkabout for a few years and he certainly didn't do a bang up job with Petty and Hackenberg. If the Jets have another losing season I don't think Bowles will see the back end of his two year contract. I hope the Jets go outside the organization to fill that head coaching job. Macc might make it another year.
Say or think what you like about Bowles how is he a disconnect HC? He eats, drinks and lives football, has his entire life. Don't think we know what Bates is yet, too early to tell.
Well, maybe you should tell him how to make an in game adjustment at some point in the game. With him, the game plan is drawn up on Tuesday and anything that happens out of the ordinary after that is never dealt with.
This is called being a victim of the moment. Rich kotite should have never been hired, he was bad before the Jets. No way kotite could have pulled a 10-6 record with Fitzpatrick at qb.
What does not making an adjustment that you don't know he is making have to do with being disconnected in the same way you said Bates is? I've seen the Jets switch from a GP that started with straight man switched to zone. I've seen the D Hugo from lots of blitzing to more traditional D. I've seen games start mostly work 3-4 switch to mostly 4-3. Then I read that we NEVER change things up and laugh. BTW I've heard guys like Willie McGuinist laugh at fans who believe teams make huge changes in game. I don't like a lot of things he does but it's mostly what I think are philosophy at this point. That fans can't recognize changes or think you can just change with limited talent has nothing to do with reality of the situation.
Kotite did it with a team that was nowhere as bad as it's record under Kotite. Two of three seasons under Bowles the team won more games than predicted. He has issues but nothing like Kotite
We're into the stretch! JethroTull making a run for the Gholston award and it's a strong one. But here comes Mainejet on the outside, Mainejet and Tull, Tull and Mainejet! Down to the wire and the winner is...
Go look at the Indianapolis game two years ago. Wide receivers running all through the Jets secondary. Not one adjustment the entire game. Let me know if you need the other 32 games for further reference.
