Colts | Wayne agrees to $40M deal Wed, 22 Feb 2006 12:30:29 -0800 Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Indianapolis Colts and WR Reggie Wayne have agreed to terms on a six-year deal worth nearly $40 million. The deal also includes $13.5 million in bonus money. From KFFL
Yeah, I thought they'd lock up Wayne. They were really pushing hard to get him re-signed. Edge is gone of course. Think of the money they've sunk into a QB and two WRs. Wow.
i like the move, they'res enough quality FA backs that would do fine in that system not to mention they have rhoades
If anything I think that Wayne is a product of their system. I think they were so scared to let him go because there were no quality replacements. I still think they have to sign Edge or at least sign him to a tender or something. James is a Hall of Famer and has put up crazy numbers. Wayne isnt really that much of a difference maker, but James is.
No way! Have you seen some of the plays reggie wayne made? All you have to do is watch the playoff game against the steelers again. I used to think the same thing, but this year he definately proved me wrong.
I was so sure he was going to leave and become a #1 receiver, but for that money, I guess he plans to wait a few years.
