This is what a successful experienced GM can do with cash and DP's.. Taken from today's NYDN: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...ckham-browns-trade-rumors-20181114-story.html. Not gonna cut n paste so you guys can link to this if you want. I like the idea as its a win/win for both teams. The Browns add another piece that puts them squarely on par with the Bengals and the Steelers. The Giants get a ton of high DP's (at least until the Browns start to roll) at the cost of a PITA Diva Wr. Say what you want about our $100m war chest. We're not the only game in town anymore and if Macc doesn't get up to speed real quick, all that cash isn't gonna return the talent that it should and our much ballyhoo'd "rebuilding process" will be set back years.. Not sure I want Macc shopping at Neiman Marcus but he really has to get away from Dollar General. We used to laugh at Cleveland.. Remember this old bromide: "At least we're not the Browns.." ? Who's laughing now....
Just as with the Jets, this offseason will be crucial for the Browns, especially nailing the HC decision. A rumor about the Browns trading for a star that may not even be available to trade for is no different than the rumor of the Jets signing a star that may have no interest in coming here. I believe both the Jets and Browns have nailed the QB decision now they both need to nail the HC decision.
Pretty sure the obj is untradeable for the next 2 years due to the cap hit the giants would take now with the new contract they gave him.
I laughed at the Brown's after Mark Gastineau crushed my dreams, but it wore off to some degree eventually. The Browns, the Lions, and the Jets kind of became like a retarded Band of Brothers. Generally it's more like I laugh to myself so I don't look like a complete jackass because crowing about the misfortunes of a bad team when your own ass stinks like shit isn't very wise. Why make myself an even bigger object of ridicule? The Giants, though, I don't care how bad we are. HAHAHAHAHAHA (evil devil laugh).
There is nothing to indicate the Jets have nailed the QB decision, aside from how I felt about Darnold before the draft.
I believe, you can believe whatever you’d like, I don’t care. I believe both the Jets and Browns nailed the QB decision.
I believe that you can believe that he can believe that you can believe that he can believe whatever he'd like or that you'd like. We absolutely nailed it with Darnold and Cleveland absolutely nailed it with Mayfield. I will always prefer Darnold but Mayfield would have been one fuck of a consolation prize.
Darnold was my top prospect (Mayfield was 3 for most of the process but I bumped him ahead of Rosen shortly before the draft) but I can't deny Mayfield has had the better season to date. I'll say this much though, we need to get this offseason right or it's possible we ruin Darnold.
Always had Darnold 1 and Mayfield 2. I honestly believe that Darnold is not "ruinable" if that's a word. I just think we could fail to take advantage of him, which would be criminal.
If the OL and skill positions don't get upgraded, he can be ruined. We need at least 2 new OL and 1 playmaker on offense.
If we don’t improve the offensive line, we’re going to turn him into another Kenny O’Brien. He’ll be shell shocked and develop Happy Feet but also be able to put together one or two awesome games just to hint at what might have been.
I've been banging that drum all preseason ..I knew Cleveland would not be pushovers forever It all starts at the top..Good Management translates to results on the field Dorsey can run rings around Macagnan...so what else is new?? If they don't land Odell they will get someone else that's great Now we will be a war with them over HC...cripes
and given the relative state of both franchises, I think Cleveland is the better destination than MetLife.
