33 carrier for 133 yards is nothing to write home about

It is also nothing to write about on a football forum without context, you completely ignore the rest of his career because you aren't good at arguing about football I guess

Good riddance... All CJ did was take carries away from ivory and Powell

He was healthy and lost most of his carries to Chris Johnson because he is not that good.

Anyone can put up stats when they are the only choice at RB.

"Please explain" is not exactly a stellar arguement.

    Let Powell and CJ go

    Sign Spiller
Draft rb round 4 or later
Unfortunately Ivorys running style isn't going to let him at a lot of years better to start planning for the sooner then later

Doubt such small roster bonuses guarantee Babin or Pace a spot, but worth keeping them around for the time being IMO.

How much cap space does that clear for us when it's all said and done? I feel like we are inevitably drafting an RB and luckily there are a lot of good ones available.

I believe moving on from CJ saves 3.5M if I remember correctly.

Nice. CJ should be a no-brainer to release.

Pace and Babin deserve shots to make the team, but I'd probably opt for Babin based on last year

Pace and Babin fit the mold for Bowles' D that revolves around blitzing. I'm perfectly fine with picking up their options.

It looks like the year of the RB in this draft. But I'm wondering if they opt for CJ Spiller instead

I rather move on from Babin and Pace ....they don't represent the future of the defense they are closer to the end of there carrers then the beggining

Certainly an option but I think Buffalo will open up their pockets to keep him. I'd love to have him but only at the right price. Give me Ajayi or a Duke Johnson in the draft otherwise.

You need vet help regardless. Pace has always been a leader for this group, it probably was wise of Bowles and Mac to keep him on board.

Maybe so, but he hasn't been great lately and a new regime is in. Wouldn't be surprised if they opted for a power back instead.

But I would be very happy with Duke Johnson, Ajayi or even Ameer Abdullah among others on Day 2/early Day 3

Pretty much my thoughts. I'd love Spiller at the right price, but if not Abdullah, Ajayi, Duke Johnson and even Yeldon would be attractive picks in the right spot.

Not everyone on the team can be part of the longer term future. Need veteran players at various spots throughout the team. Having one or both of them gives the team a little more flexibility in its offseason approach and could make for a good opportunity to bring a high draft pick at OLB
