Man, I thought I'd get called out for misspelling McCaffrey's name. Instead, his name has been spelled 3 different ways and none of them correct, LOL.
He'll be a Patriot or Giant next year and everyone knows it. That said, I wouldn't be opposed to it at this point, it's not like being conventional has worked wonders for us. Plus, who wouldn't want to have an all-Christian backfield? We'd be the holiest team in the league.
Idk how good Mccafrey is. His offensive line cleared everything out of his way most of the time at Stanford. He wouldn't get touched until he reached the defensive backfield a lot. He isn't going to have that luxury in the NFL and certainly not here with the Jets. it's possible he's just a reliable 3rd down RB who can catch balls out of the backfield. nice player, sure, but we can find guys like that elsewhere in the draft or OH, on the current roster WEARING NUMBER 29!!
Doesn't matter who we take we will win just enough games to guarantee we don't get a top QB and remain mediocre for another 10 years.
no mccaffrey too many reps already and will be worn down by the time the jets compete . at 6 u need a player who can be all pro for at least 5 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well there isn't a top QB on this draft worthy of the 6th pick so what do you suggest? Take another flyer and over draft a QB. Then flame Mac for the ridiculous pick like many are doing with the Hack pick now, even though we have not seeing him play?
Somehow drafting both OJ and McCaffery would be beyond my wildest dreams I. Terms of building an offense with versatile schemes. Both will be gone by 25 mi d you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He's that fucking good. You can't spell him, let alone scheme for him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We may just be the "holiest" team in the league...sadly all our holes are in the makup of our roster.
Leonard didn't have near the production or skill of McCaffrey in college. In the pros, Leomard played more of a H-Back/FB role. Not seeing the correlation between the 2 players. Not advocating for him at 6, the career analogy just doesn't make sense.
It makes sense if you're evaluating him based on skin color rather than talent. When I watch McCaffrey I see more Shady McCoy than Brian Leonard personally.
