If he has any business acumen at all, if he gives a damn about the direction of this team, if he understands what it takes, he will act swiftly and brutally. Todd Bowles is to be removed from the Jets facility as soon as possible. I don't care if the players like him. I don't care if they cry and moan. He is to be thoroughly expunged from all things Jets IMMEDIATELY. And from this moment on it needs to be made known that the staggering incompetence, stupidity, inability to scheme, gameplan, to understand situational football, clock management, how to make adjustments etc will never be allowed at 1 Jets Drive again. That this kind of almost staggering unfathomable incompetence will not be accepted from the janitors much less the head coach. Hire a tyrant. Hire Josef Stalin. Put the fear of god into these players. But hire a guy that has a brain at least, that can exhibit at least basic football knowledge and can prove that he can learn from a mistake (Bowles never has) let the players hate him, but at least have a guy who has his team play competent, disciplined smart football If Sam Darnold is the future of this team then a hopeless loser like Todd Bowles should never be allowed to enter the same time zone as Darnold. You cannot allow Darnold to be influenced by Bowles for another second as this kind of "leadership" is detrimental to his development. Todd Bowles is fired. That is official. Agreed. It needs to be done tonight or tomorrow. Relieve Bowles, Rodgers, and Bates of their duties. Promote Dennison or Kevin Greene to Interim Head Coach. And finish out the year. Has to be done. If not, it shows even more weakness in the organization.
i was not surprised by today's result. being in upstate ny, i saw the bills go into minny and beat the vikings on their home field, without the benefit of an entire summer to gameplan. posters on this board will agree that beating the vikings is much harder than beating the lions. so far this year, the bills have run guys in and out of the team, giving young guys a chance to play. barkley started after only 2 weeks, while the jets kept davis webb, who has been with the team since august, on the sidelines, while mccown stunk up the joint. ( again, failure to make adjustments in -game/ stuborness!) the non-performance on defense alone demands the IMMEDIATE removal of both bowles and rodgers. and, let's not forget the GM. while buffalo is mining players from div 1, 2, and 3 in rounds 2-5, the jets record in the draft in those rounds has been putrid. both trumaine johnson and morris clairborne were free agents/let go by the rams and dallas for a good reason. both are expensive busts. the jets have a cornerback( roberts) who was cut by the pats, who has out-played BOTH of them. if the johnson brothers have any balls or a spine, they fire both bowles and rodgers today. if not, bring me down to the facility and let me do it. in the next draft, i get offensive lineman in the EARLY rounds, including trading down in round one to pick up a 2nd. at a minimum, i pick a tackle , guard, center, and another developmental qb. next year, sam , webb, and the new guy battle it out for spots. nobody gets handed a job. you have to earn it. same goes for every positon on the team. hire a coach that can make adjustments in game, and bench guys who fail to do their job. almost 50 years of failure means you do something different! the steelers learned that lesson when they moved n 1970 from the nfl to the afl. the johnson brothers are THAT far BEHIND the rooneys.
If an announcement is not made by Monday this fan base will absolutely revolt, and rightfully so. Its extremely hard to loose the fan base, but the J&J brothers are fucking getting close. try empty seats, messages that state you are not renewing season tickets or buying any more game tickets, paper bags, billboards, planes flying overhead during the game with messages. deliver the thoughts to the johnsons in ways they, or their wallets , can not ignore. don't buy any concessions, and let parking reveune drop drastically.
Agree with. Add in drafting defensive players the last twenty years when it is becoming an offensive game. What a joke. Sad state of affairs and unfortunately we’re stuck w the johnsons.
