Catch lightning in a bottle, Intangibles, watching tape and a slew of other catch phrases. Does it make you feel like an NFL Insider when you type out these phrases.

Did you really just watch some tape on that prospect? Where did you get that tape? Me I usually watch some video on the computer since I find it hard to find someone with videotape of the players.

And really, why do you need to continue to use the "Catch lightning in a bottle"? I personally got tired of hearing it the 2nd or 3rd time it was uttered.

I realize the majority on TGG that throw out these and other similar phrases are deep in their draft prep, getting their board ready for Thursday so they probably won't read this.

What are some of the other phrases that drive you nuts hearing them over and over? Also feel free to include those words that are easily spelt but for some reason always spelt wrong.

    The eye test

    He is a winner

The most amazing part is this BS is coming from supposedly professional "analysts", certainly highly paid. The truth is that all they got is access to more films that we do.
And I bet 80% of them don't even watch the film, just regurgitate what everyone else is saying/writing.

I guarantee that some posters here would do a far better and more impartial job evaluating prospects than these experts.

    stock rising/stock falling

like players stock is moving while they are not playing games and are done with the combine/work outs. just another buzzword to keep clicks coming to the draft sites.
